Of course, the Japanese are at least as unenlightened, on the whole, as America is, when it comes to the trannies. Shockingly, this may not be a terribly thoroughly-researched character.

The terms that are used are heterosexual and homosexual, transgendered and cisgendered.

MtF = transgendered woman, FtM = transgendered man. Whatever their transgendered sex is, that defines their sexuality.

But not everyone identifies that way. There are MtF that are into men that classify themselves as "gay." Then again, that might be societal pressure, or it might be that they're not truly transgendered and don't believe themselves to be women "on the inside;" they just prefer to be women.
