I haven't watched a single Hinaai since two months ago. They are a good group, their show is fun but following them became such a chore, even when I stopped reading their blogs and following their outside activity, I couldn't set through one episode which was last night's episode. Have you actually seen Nogizaka main variety show? It's pretty bad and it's been bad for years now, everyone is coasting it including Bananaman (mc). Even on 5ch they've been saying that the show is no longer good. Their side stuff is better like Nogi Skits/Eigo though.

I think what separates Hina and the other groups is that the girls can banter with their MC's and with each other. While the other groups don't really do much. Keyaki/Sakura has dead air moments because of the lack of chatter and no willingness to crack jokes which makes their show awkward to watch at times. Any specific examples of drama it caused? I remember that's where black hearted Yukirin started, but I think that only helped her chara. I remember in Nogibingo 1 where Hashimoto legitimately exposed Takayama faking her voice, which seemed to upset everyone and was an early example of "doesn't care about or follow idol" Hashimoto not playing by the rules. Other than those I don't know of any incidents caused. I really wish those old games could return. Mechaburi dodgeball was a big reason I got into early AKB.
