Most people think Moona is gonna be the best pre-debut but Risu ends up being the favorite. Iofi gets doxxed, which was a pretty huge deal. People don't really care for Moona because of her hijab edits (yes, Moona used to be the most hated Holo here). Some schizo starts spamming the board with Moona images to try and get ID posting banned. Miserablely fails and people just kinda live with ID around.

Anons learn to go to 5ch for Hololive rumors. Roommate posting and narrative posting reach an all time high. Very few people are familiar with roommates so each times it's posted it garners a million (you)s. People argue whether or not roommates are relevant to the character. It is at this time that Korone's roommate images are the most spammed. Old Twitter screenshots of her being married kills off a shit ton of Koronefags who used to be a top 4 fanbase in /hlg/ along with 35P, Nousagi, and Hoshiyomi. A few anons get bored and start writing joke fan fiction stories about various talents claiming their source is 5ch. Most laugh because they realize it's all just an elaborate joke. However some newfags and people who don't know Japanese are not in on the jokes and start buying these narratives at face value. Eventually narrativeposting stops being a joke and starts having a negative association.
To top it all off, once again the controversial and popular vtuber Kiryuu Coco sparks something in the thread with her 3D debut. Keep in mind this was before the Holocaust so anons who hated her for being a western whore were legitimate. /hlg/ and /jp/ sees an unprecedented posts per minute and IP jump. Some people consider this moment to be the downfall of /hlg/. Then the Holocaust happens and kills off a significant source of entertainment for many fans. Many archives of very classic game streams are deleted. Streams were far more varied before and then many Holos ended up just playing the same few games. It was here when the rate of anons bitching about the lack of variety in streams increased heavily.

Gen 5 debuts and the Aloe incident occurs. This was the final nail in the coffin in IP and post numbers as the charts show that it was at this point that IPs and posts per minute skyrocketed and never recovered. The thread was so fucking fast at all times and any semblance of comfy was gone. Then, after a few months of doomposting and dread, HoloEN debuts.

A few days before the first debut, anons decide it was probably best to start a new thread to separate HoloEN from the rest of Hololive. So the HoloEN thread was started but was soon renamed to Hololive Global, concluding the first split of /hlg/. You see, /v/ was a huge boogeyman in /hlg/ because stealth Holo threads would always get linked from /v/ and anons here were disgusted. The hope was that Global would be the /v/ filter.
