I killed him and used a catfish card shortly after. It removed the rest of my health and knocked me down, and when he got on for round 3 I died automaticly and lost the match. It was amazing.

the cards aren't set up in a way where they can be used in a different character decks
instead of getting a train you'd either wind up with the equivalent raymoo spell/skill card that matches that value komachi's life switch CC gets turned into raymoo's new 2 card blue pillar thing, or you'd wind up with a bogus card that just disappears when it the gauge for it fills as is the case with D7

i thought they were stored in config.dat, but yeah i seem to remember that switching player 2 from profile2p wound up mirroring the controls of player 1

additionally, card identification is probably easier/faster in the blank decks, but you won't have the appropriate character deck start address that catfish deck editing provides

Good games. My playstyle was starting to deteriorate, so I decided to end it there.

Your Sanae plays in an infuriatingly turtlish manner; also, I swear to god you landed all of your Kanakos a split second before the game was going to register the fact that I was fucking blocking. Most of the ones you landed I was trying to bait in the first place; for some reason, I just didn't end up blocking. So yeah, lots of swearing was done on my end. She seems to have gotten much better since the last time I faced her, though. I wish I could find some way to fight against people who are really good at blocking and just staying out of melee range in general.

Well, you did block a ton of Kanako rushdown attempts. My goodness, Meirin's dash seems to end really early because usually people can't recover in time to block Kanako when they start moving.

Don't even mention Meirin's super fast backwalking speed, screws up so many midscreen blockstring mixup attempts. No wonder Magister considers her the best of the new cast. I once thought Sanae might have a slight advantage over Meirin, but now I'm not too sure.

Meiling can cut her dash off surprisingly fast. This, in conjunction with how fast she can move back, makes for an excellent way to bait Kanakos/Shoryukens.

GGs SDD, I need to stop falling for Suika tricks so much. Trying to 66C out of a blockstring only to get smacked in the face by a giant fire punch? Sure! Just blocked a loliball? I attempted to counter with an attack and get hit by the incoming 623 crystal pound. But wait, my opponent didn't use 623? No worries for them, because I expected 623 and didn't attempt to punish the loliball.

I think we froze at the character select screen or something, weird.
GGs though Super_Me, and of course as always I have a paragraph ready if you really want advice.

First of all: Airteching. Do less of it. If I was paying slightly more attention I would have kept that aircombo I did with Reisen each time you airteched going forever; I've had the pleasure of having one of those take down nearly my entire lifebar due to stupid airteching and it was NOT fun. Watch your opponent, how many bullets are on the screen, etc etc, before you airtech at all; force yourself to pay attention if you have to, because otherwise it gets you raped.
Also, groundtech more often. I couldn't tell if you knew how to do it at all, and in case you don't it's D + forward once you get knocked down. Make sure to ALWAYS do it in the corner because you're the opponent's bitch on wakeup if you don't.
So, there are three ways you can alter your playstyle to drastically improve:

1. Get a fishdeck. Spam fish. Enjoy it and stop caring about winning.

2. Either advertise yourself as a high-tier player or get really lucky. Wait for Magister to connect. Let him do blockstrings on you; watch how he does them, and do the exact same thing to other people. SUDDENLY WIN ALL THE TIME.

3. Forget every combo you know and replace them all with 2A spam. Or at the very least, just use 2A a lot more often. It comes out fast so if you do catch somebody off-guard with it, you can keep doing it so they'll wrongblock and lose a bunch of orbs, and finish it off with Meiling's sweepkick to hopefully guardcrush them, then combo etc etc.
Speaking of sweepkick, don't just use that and back away -- follow it up! If you have any orbs left and the opponent wrongblocks it - like I did - you can keep going with a blockstring or whatever, usually for the purpose of guardcrushing them.
That's all I can say though, have fun bro.

Meiling's 2A comes out relatively fast, but doesn't transition smoothly into 3A. However, if you manage to land a 3A, you get a free 3A -> 2B -> alt 22B (Comet Kick) combo that usually hits for around 1.7k-2k damage if you have multiple 22B skillcards used or control rods.

Or, you can just go straight from 3A -> 22B if you want. Hell, if you charge 3A and break their guard because of wrongblock, you can 3A -> Ground Dragon Earth Dragon Kick Spellcard combo.

Oh well. You totally have everything under control now with one exception -- your corner pressure is some of the lamest I've ever seen. Every time, you always get a good blockstring combo going and then there's a point where I can just jump out with no punishment. What gives?
Aside from that one flaw though you really do rape my shit fairly hard, but that won't happen quiiiite as often once I figure out how to 5AA 236B/5C HJC j.2A j.2B etc etc etc.
j.2A by itself is punishable hardcore and really only works as an escape tool without the beginning part of that blockstring which I just can NOT get to work, goddamn. Guess I need to practice it some more.

... CH 66A.
No fucking WONDER I could never pull the thing off, I was starting it all wrong. Goddamnit. The whole point of it is to hit with a CH 66A, follow up with a 236B/C, THEN do the rest. 5A and f.5A don't do jack shit. Well fuck, I guess this means I was guilty of the "trying to figure out a move instead of playing" thing too.
And now that I FINALLY figured out how to do it I can't do the j.2A-j.2B-into-the-corner anymore. ;_;

But anyway, that's enough for me tonight.
Your playstyle is the motherfucking BANE of Reisen, I swear; you almost never block but you graze all the fucking time, which messes up a bullet-oriented character. Even 66A is a nigger and a half to hit with because you always have some melee to knock my ass down. That also explains why Aya was able to handle things so well in comparison.
... Which is why I had so much fun, because being at a blatant disadvantage is a hella lot more enjoyable than the other way around in my opinion. Fightan should be a challenge.

Not at all. I've went 3+ hours almost daily against one Yui player in Vagina Poverty, played my Mitsurugi for even longer at a time in the Soul Caliburs -- oh, speaking of SoulCal I forgot to bitch about how much you remind me of it.
Seriously, every time I took one hit from you I basically threw down my controller since I knew I'd already lost. I guess if the Chink is supposed to resemble characters from other fightan, that makes sense though.

>I still have a long way to go until she becomes deadly.
Bullshit. Then again, I guess it really is your playstyle more than your Meiling that eats Reisen alive, but I'd still say she's probably the deadliest on /jp/. Or maybe the second.

There's one who plays anything, but he's a flaming casual and only shows up when I'm least expecting it.

GEE MISTER, YOU SURE KNOW HOW TO PUNISH STUPID
Really. "Hoho I just hit him with a stray bullet over there, I'll chug a potio-"
5-COST SC, DIRECT HIT

Great games vvav, that last match against Youmu had to be one of the most terrifying moments for poor little Cirno. ;_;
Maybe she really IS the strongest.

I still don't know what the hell happened during the pseudocrashes earlier, it knocked my BGM out completely which was just fucking weird. Everything worked okay when I reopened it but that still shouldn't happen. It wouldn't do all that crap if it was just on your end.
Oh well, thanks for the games bro. You're always fun to play against.

M-my god. What ARE you? ;_;
Even the hardcore tourneyfags around here can't pull half the shit you pulled in RANDOM. I've never seen anybody who could use every single character so ridiculously well, you must be some kind of fightan god.

Well, that is excluding that once I started using Suika you had some of the most horrible luck I'd ever seen in anyone. I make a stupid projectile whiff and you're about to punish what little health I have remaining with some giant SC, SUDDENLY MINI FIREBALL OUT OF NOWHERE. That felt pretty bad to watch, too.

Either way, nearly two hours is enough for me. GGs profile1p -- clever name, by the way.
By the way, have I played you before? That Patchouli style looked awfully familiar...

>> No.3288624

I played you two days ago, I think, but not with Patchouli. I've never really played Patchouli much before, but random was determined to make me learn how. Same with Meiling.

>I've never really played
I find those words hard to believe in any context.
But alright; I just noticed that most Patchy players don't try to use 623(or was it 421?) to cover melee range while firing bullets except for Dimbro, so I started to have some suspicions.

Also, funny story, you left at the same time I was going to. I was actually about to start mashing B to the tune of the theme of the last stage we played in before hitting ESC but the screen faded before I got my chance. ;_;

Well that's enough Toohoos for me for most of today, you have a nice day anon.
Of course, I'll be back in a few hours when there are STILL no new posts and I feel obligated to save this thread, just like every VanPri thread ever. Siiiiigh.

Default 623 is the wind thing that pushes people away. As I like to go melee with Patchouli (WHAT), I don't use that move much and always replace it by her amazingly fast wind projectile as soon as I can.

True, but since it uses 5 cards if you just mixed 4 trains in with other shit there'd be a chance that you could get more than one train in the same hand; with 20 trains you know you'll always be able to use all 4, no exceptions.

I don't want to start guessing on who your main(s) is, so I'll attack this problem with a challenge of my own: Who is MY main, can you guess?

I think... it must either be Reimu or Sakuya, are have you been sneaky enough not to use the real one yet?! I'll go for Reimu. Apropos, our Reimu vs Sanae matches really made me sweat! Epic showdown, Sanae is the only new character I'm working on - I like her movements.

>> No.3291620

>>3291376
You're main is obviously both Patchi/Tenshi are your mains (plural). You run an excellent Tenshi, and it surprises me at times to see a Patchi who uses 5C for combos and anti-air only rather than zoning. You threw some pretty good mix-ups with Tenshi, and solid air and tech punish game, but not enough 623s to scare your opponent to stay blocking at the end of your combos. That Sanae is painful too, but the Slip Stream is the only pain in the ass compared to other good Sanae's I've seen. But I do like your unique miko.

You're right. Like you, I don't have a primary main, never have since IaMP. Although I've been told it's my Reimu, but I've always played with much more ease with Sakuya. China/Cirno I picked up because I said long before Soku was made, if they're in it, they're getting mained.

>> No.3291766

>>3291620
You're correct, Patchi have been a main for long, since she's just my favorite. Tenshi on the other hand... I actually hated her for long, both in general and as a playable character. It was strangely enough just as Soku got released that I started playing her, I don't know why. Just *snap*, like that, and it worked. Before that it was the Aya and Patche combo, but you know what happened to her in Soku (plus that she's too tiring to play with).

The ones I'm playing are mostly the ones you've seen as of today. Sanae is probably my newest addition, so I'll need way more time; I'm pro at misinputting with her. I was kinda trying on Suwako, since I squealed when I heard she was in; but I often feel so hopeless and stupid while playing her.

Thanks for your compliments! You're good at countering techs with Cirno and Meiling.

I'd say you're better with Cirno, or I'm not too sure. Your Meiling was hard to deal with in corners and upon encounter, especially upon encounter, and I was never too sure when the combos would end.

Thanks for the tip regarding Tenshi's 623B/C, I haven't thought about that.
