Cross Channel or Ever17, which has the better ending?

>> No.3281424

Ever17's ending sucks to infinity

>> No.3281423

Typical /jp/ user.

Note how it can't tell the difference between good and bad.

>> No.3281426

Ever17, seeing that Cross Channel had a shitty ending

>> No.3281425

>>3281420
Cross Channel

>> No.3281438

That's pretty bias OP one is good and the other is bad.

>> No.3281458

Ever17 has 4/5 hours of awesome when you realize everything, but the end/epilogue is not that great. CROSS†CHANNEL's ending is the best one I've ever read.

>> No.3281466

Obviously Ever17, anyone that says otherwise is a pretentious sadist.
It's fine if you want your game to put out an anti-suicide message, just don't do it at the expense of the character dammit.

>> No.3281513

>Even if you give a monkey a typewriter, it won't coincidentally write up a copy of Shakespeare.

Actually, if you give a monkey a typewriter, the probability that it will write any given string (such as any of Shakespeare's works) is 100%. See also the Borel-Cantelli lemma in probability theory.

And yeah, CC's ending was better. I must be like the only person ever who doesn't think the ending was the best part of E17.

>> No.3281539

>>3281513
FUCK YEAH PLUNGING TO THE OCEAN FLOOR HOLDING A STONE FRAGMENT

>> No.3281601

Coco's route was superior to most of Cross Channel, but looking at just the endings, Ever17 loses out.

>> No.3281603

The ending of Ever17 was a little too Disney like for me.
And it was full of a lot of little stupid shits like the whole "dive 300m with only a stone".
The ending of Cross Channel was awesome though.

>> No.3281608

>>3281513
I'm with you. I'd prefer that ending never existed. It was so much better without it.

>> No.3281606

Which game torrent should I download to use the patch?

>> No.3281614

>>3281606
If you were talking about CC, I got mine from Hongfire like a year ago and it was fine. I don't really think you can go wrong (except with some fake shit) as there's only one PC version of the game released IIRC. I recommend getting it from Share, western eroge torrents die rather quickly.

>> No.3281632

I prefer Ever17 ending. Why?
Ever17 - They went through shit and got rewarded
C+C - They went through shit and suffered more

Yeah Ever17 has tons bullshit stuff in the end. Kid diving with a rock, a deus ex pet robot capable of withstanding pressure.
It's still better to me.

Beats C+C's depressing end. Poor Touka and Youko, I doubt they can move on.

>> No.3281658

>>3281632
They got "rewarded", it will probably take some time for most of them but they are on the good path.
Misato reconciled with her brother and father.

Kiri finally understood that the world isn't simply black and white and was able to get into a normal school

Miki is irremediably fucked up from birth but she didn't have much problems otherwise!

Touko has to learn to live by herself, that's what Taichi tried to teach her and that's why he didn't put his hands on her, of course it will probably take time.

Same for Youko, now that Taichi is gone she will have to stop running away and live her life whether she likes it or not, that's the best for her.

And of course Taichi by living in a world without anyone is able to keep his sanity and humanity, he also manages to do some good with his messages.
You have to realize that Taichi was basically a bomb ready to blow off in any given moment, he couldn't have lived a normal life.

>> No.3281717

At least the CC ending didn't take all the fucking replay value out of the game. I might start rereading this shit in Japanese little by little if I have enough free time with my starting university term.

>> No.3281752

Depends what you mean by better. Cross Channel had a better ending, since it wasn't a super "happily ever after" ending where everything works out. At least it was somewhat tragic, yet beautiful.

Wat

>> No.3282302

I must have missed it, but what exactly was the reason Miki is in Gunjou?

>> No.3282360

>>3282302
Narcissistic to the point of psychopathy.

>> No.3282371

This must be the first thread on /jp/ in which C+C isn't either ragged on unfairly or devolves into a discussion about Ixrec's polls. Must be some serious samefaggotry

>> No.3283227

>>3281658
You're right. Is sad, but for Taichi it was impossible to liver normally with other people. In the last week he was making true efforts for being a normal person.

>> No.3283241

Everyone did some exam before entering that school.

Taichi got 80% (you know what happens sometimes with him) Miki got 40%

Miki feels very suicidal every time she's lonely.

Now imagine if /jp/ were like that... I guess there wouldn't be a /jp/ left.

>> No.3283274

>>3283262
Suicidal? More like homicidal - she'd rather let everyone else die then lose her sense of self, even if alone

Err no, Miki is a complete sociopath, she would never kill herself.

>Err no, Miki is a complete sociopath, she would never kill herself.
Failed final Miki route brah.

>> No.3283342

Miki is not a sociopath, she is a narcissist.
The two are very similar, they both have a lot of overlap, but there are significant differences between them.

>> No.3283351

Miki's a yandere for herself!

>> No.3283363

>>3283334
She didn't say she was going to kill herself or something in her final arc, she just felt danger for herself since she was alone.
It was still about her and only her.
Notice how she didn't care about the fact that Taichi disappeared when she was sent back to the normal world?
Kiri realized this and started to bawww her heart out, Miki was just joyous and immediately ran to the city.

>>3283342
Her emotions are dulled like a sociopath though.

>> No.3283539

>>3283363
In the end I can only think Kiri was the only character (mostly) sane. Also she was the only one I didn't hate or feel repulse.

Miki appeared to be a sweet girl... but reality sometimes suck

>> No.3283791

>>3283539
The girl pure at heart is also the girl pure of body! Coincidence? I think not.

>> No.3283871

>>3283363
Miki changed a little too, she cares about Kiri at the end.

Ever17, but I liked Cross Channel a lot too. Cross Channel's ending is a bit too open/depressing for me to prefer. I would have liked alternate endings.
