I had a dream I went to Mugenkan in order to fight (PC-98) Yuuka as a demon slayer. We met in this absolutely giant courtyard in an equally massive mansion at night, with weird flowers, huge fountains and marble statues. But she was so beautiful and after fighting each other for a while we both fell in love. Then we just stopped fighting and hugged and kissed. I put one of the flowers which fell onto the ground during our battle into her hair which she liked a lot. She was so soft and delicate. It was clear from talking to her I was the first male she had ever met. But she didn’t want to take it any further because her heart wasn’t ready, so she left me a note to meet her again at a certain time and place. Elly was there too and told me to treat her like a gentleman or she’d kill me. I had to go fight other demons in that dream and never got around to seeing her again unfortunately before I woke up.

I feel like you fundamentally misunderstand who Yuuka is. Yuuka has strong bonds with people, Yuuka likes most people in Gensokyo.
She just also likes being treatest according to her status as the strongest person in Gensokyo, so she messes with people who try to wrong her and she thinks it's funny when they try to fight her, as shown by PoFV. She also felt a little sad because many people forgot who she was.
In Mystic Square specifically Yuuka was bored and went to Makai and when she realized what was going on she thought it would be fun.

She likes getting into fights and baits people into fights, but it's not like she's an unreasonable person towards people who respect her. Remember that Akyuu says that while Yuuka is very dangerous, as long as you treat her properly she's not much of a danger to ordinary people.

Yuuka enjoys getting into fights, it's a good time for her, but she's also a very mellow and kind person at the same time. Ordinary people will of course see her as uptight and having a temper, because she's really strong and really polite.
And Yuuka is extrememly calm and hard to upset, the only she seemed genuinely upset was when Reimu and Marisa woke her up, but she quickly returned to her usual teasing demeanor afterwards.

All these interpretations are valid to some extent, because Yuuka is beyond a human frame of reference, moreso than anyone else. The only people more alien than here are Junko, Seija and perhaps Eirin (but she is good at pretending).

I think she's just really misunderstood. She's misunderstood time and time again. In LLS, she IS actually wrongly accused of being the destroyer of Reimu's shrine. As for MS, the demons were genuinely an issue that everyone agreed needed to be dealt with. I think calling what Yuuka did in makai a "genocide" is completely unreasonable considering Marisa (a character never even close to being memed as a sadist) did the exact same things as well. She genuinely wanted to go over there and test out her powers against some of the strongest, and it was just a convenient excuse since nobody liked the makai demons anyways.
Come PoFV, she's mostly the same, but perhaps a bit more self aware even. Everyone thinks she's a monster once again, and she just rolls with it instead of trying to correct literally everyone's preconception of her. Even if she had stayed in the garden of the sun, people would've come after anyways, which is exactly what happens when you don't play as Yuuka. So why not have a little fun? Akyuu's profile is her is really awful as well, which has been said countless times and isn't even worth repeating.
She is polite to others, but only when they don't know who she is. Which is another key thing. If you go up to Yuuka and treat her like a normal person, she will be nice to you as well. Distant, but very kind. Very wise, maybe even humble as well. It would probably be hard to grow closer to her though, nobody has actually done so after all. I really do think she's a loner, and that's probably the point I disagree with you on most. But she's probably ok with that. Either she simply got used to it, or she is very happy living a quiet life with her flowers and her naps.
Either way she's really complex and is far and away my favorite.
