Japan makes the best pens and pencils Y/N?

I've had this one for about 3 years and it's never given me any problems. I've had other pencils in the meantime and they always break and I end up going back to my pentel side fx. I use the grey 0.5 one.

Discuss.

G-PEN is good, but a bit fragile
momo pencils are the same as any other (faber-castell works better for me)
and momo erasers are the best erasers I've tried.

pretty sure someone carved that...

anyway, it's probably break if you actually tried to write with it, even more likely if you tried to sharpen it.

damn, I have a Parker pen (made in the UK), but it's starting to fail me.

I bought two new - I didn't know they were made in Japan.
Thanks, OP, now I checked it and found another thing related to Japan in my room!

I've tried out a ton of pens and pencils... but the ones I end up really liking are always cheap ones. And then it doesn't really matter what country they come from.

>> No.330938

I LOVE THE PENTEL SIDE FX. Seriously, the best pencil ever for under $5. Uniball Jetstream is the smoothest roller ball ever. Uniball Signo or the Pilot G2 are the best gel pens. Zebra Kendo Gel is pretty good too.

I didn't even realize that those pen companies were Japanese until recently. So yes, Japan makes the best mainstream pens.

Find a leadholder or get Faber-Castell's Perfect Pencil. I don't think I have seen a Japanese leadholder. There is also the Faber Castell Grip 2001.

Personally, I favour the mechanical 0.7mm Pentel P207.

If you are buying Japanese pens for anything other than extra fine ballpoints or fountain pens, you have officially failed.

For pens, I like the Cross ATX fountain pen(the USA made one, don't know about the chinese-made quality). It has serviced me for 4-5 years, I have only had to buy a new ink bottle once.
