Kinda sounds like he is fully out. He was already burnt out after Tsujidou and said he could only tolerate certain types of VNs and now it seems even Tone Work's VNs don't work for him.
It is a big downside to his philosophy of never reading a VN before translating it to find out if he likes it or not.

In China, a for-profit yet unauthorized visual novel translation group, DreamHouse, said they're frustrated with their translated games being shared and redistributed without their authorization.
They claim that, in order to avoid others pirating the games they pirated, they will require anyone who buy the pirated game from them to use Face Recognition to play their pirated game. According to them, telemetry logs in games they distributed indicated that many redistributed the games being brought from them and same copies are often being played simultaneously across multiple different cities in China, and there're also multiple games being redistributed on public internet. Hence, they're now adding Face Recognition to their pirated game, such that users need to verify their faces through a third party online platform before start playing, in order to ensure each pirated games they sold are only played by one person per copies and that their pirated games won't be pirated.
Note, they charge 150-400CNY, aka about 2000-6000JPY for each game they pirated. According to their website, if a game received more than 60 preorders by them, they would prioritize starting the game's translation, and if a game received 200 preorders, then getting the translation done will become their top priority.
