100% an act. Granted, the isolation in Australia and not being able to return home did get to her, that's when we got some of her more insane videos. But even then, she had perfectly normal streams right beside them, so she most likely used them as an outlet.

And, as others said, she is actually quite smart. Using fan submissions for content. Great strategy. She even uses her supposed "insanity" to get herself more wiggle room than others would have. She renamed her channel (the most public facing part of her persona) "Haachama Ch. はあちゃま" with a cartoon avatar, ffs.

I feel like she could have a great career in marketing if she's ever bored with the idol/vtuber life.
