As an old-time Castlevania fan, this seems pretty damn fun to me. A bit easier than some, but still fulfilling.

Half finished. There is NO dialogue before the patch, and the patch includes an opening video that is just the trailer, as far as I can tell.

The patch adds dialogue, Cirno joins the team as an assist as well as Marisa. Not much else that I can tell.

Speaking of saving, it is possible to save in Mystical Chain? Apparently there is a level select in the screen where you pick the difficulty, but i press left and right, and i can only select stage 1-1.

Same with the link for the patch. We kinda tossed Touhouvania by the wayside once we were bored with it, once Mystical Chain finally was released, and we all clear the story modes of 12.3 and started doing netplay Utsuho vs. Cirno smackdowns.

MegaMari is a Megaman clone with Touhou characters.
RKS is another Megaman clone, but with original characters.
Mystical Chain has the best boss battles to ever exist. Especially Kaguya vs Mokou vs you.

OP, I forgot. When you install Touhouvania, the exe might not get copied because it is moonrunes. Copy it yourself.

AppLocale is required to get the patch to read your moonrunes.exe. Rename it only after you patch.

You play as Reimu. You get Marisa and Cirno (in the patch) as assist attacks.
Some of the stages were touched up and enemy placement was altered as well.
The storyline is seemingly EoSD repackaged in a Castlevania-esque package.
