I just want to live in a small apartment and play video games all day without having to work. Is it that much to ask for?

You either get rich or get disabled.
The first one is unlikely and the second one can be like a living hell, and don't let those faggots racing in wheelchairs or doing obstacle courses with one leg fool you.

Losing a leg can be a lot easier than dealing with severe, incurable degenerative back pain, and either one royally fucking sucks ass.

>>32058746
Unironically, no it's not. Go get a mental illness diagnosis and live off disability, you can probably get an autism or agoraphobia diagnosis pretty easily if you actually feel this way. The hard part is getting your psych to put you down as incurable so they don't send you to therapy constantly, probably take you at least a year of psych sessions unless you know somebody willing to lie for you or you are very good at manipulating people.

Not having to work would be nice but if it were me I probably would try to use the time for something creative like drawing or music. Playing video games all day seems like it would get old quick.

I've found it's a vicious cycle.
>NEET
Enjoy your own company, but eventually start to feel useless and social pressures dawn on you that you need to wagie. There are days when you feel bored as hell.

>Wagie
Feels great to get money. Doesn't take long to wish you were a NEET again.

How do you live as a NEET? Do you need to have parents that support you?

Do you have to fail at life to become a NEET, or can you just become a NEET despite being talented?

>> No.32105917

>>32105595
I've NEETed intermittently, maybe a year at a time. I'm back in school (trade school, before anyone starts yapping about college being a fraud which it is) and doing very well in it. Plus when I was a NEET I always had either odd jobs or spent at least 20 hours a week outdoors, driving or hiking or just sitting by the water. It would take something severely traumatic to actually make me coop myself up in a house let alone a room for more than a few days without leaving. That's more a hikki thing than a NEET thing though - the answer to your question is found in the account of every aristocratic or trust fund kid throughout history though - of course it's tenable to avoid school and work if you have family money and something to do with it (and don't feel any social shame from spending your parents' money).

working makes me so depressed I usually have a suicide attempt or just a mental breakdown after I do it for a few months

I'm also horribly in debt from medical bills from the previous stuff, I don't really know what to do anymore except an hero but I usually get scared

the only happiness i find in life is playing vidya and watching weeb stuff since it takes me out of the real world if even only for a moment

Work from home has basically turned me into a hikki. Ever since corona-chan hit, I've been cooped up in my apartment playing video games. I don't go outside, I don't interact with anyone, I order all my food in, I don't even have to meet the delivery guy anymore. I barely have any actual work to do, but I'm still useful enough that my bosses keep me around. If I feel like doing something other than being a useless piece of shit, I can ask for more work and then everyone praises me for helping out. And at the end of the day, I get a big fat paycheck.

You NEETs missed the boat.

Nobody missed anything except the guys who graduated from high school last year.
Nobody is hiring young people. Especially young people with no talent.

You didn't say where you're from, but I can tell you that American NEETbux are pretty meager. It's probably not enough to live on your own (Everybody wants free/Section 8 housing, NOBODY is getting it). The max benefit is $794/month and that includes the $300/month allowance for rent. They don't actually check to see if you actually pay rent but if you don't, you will need someone willing to lie for you. The EBT benefit is decided by the state. In WA it's something like $120, I couldn't tell you for sure because the website is shit, it doesn't work and never has. You also get Medicaid.
I do hate my life and want to die but it's likely that would have happened anyway. Having money and not having to ask my parents to pay for things has only made my life easier.

Yeah, needless to say it's not going to pay off any real landlords, it's just for paying your parents. When they go from getting zero dollars a month to 300 dollars a month for doing no work other than tolerating your continued presence, it smooths out your relationship a lot.

>> No.32148694

>it smooths out your relationship a lot.
yeah if they're hard on you.
then again, you never know what they're thinking.
