So, I just finished Abyss.

Or at least I thought so at first, it seems I have a mere fraction of the CGs unlocked and only got the first ending. There are even five different routes listed on the CG page, I guess you only get choices in the second playthrough.

How fucking ungodly long is this thing.

>> No.3201064

How long did it take you to play through that first route?

>> No.3201062

How was it?
I'm doing a doujin rush now and I'm thinking of doing Omega but Abyss seems interesting too.

translated?

If you've never before heard of VN when you see a thread about it on /jp/, chances are that it's only in Japanese. Possibly Chinease.

There are Chinese VNs?

>> No.3201130

How good is it? It looked interesting when I saw the page for it. Too bad I can't read Japanese.

>> No.3201131

Care to give the story of this one?

It was pretty decent, felt a little silly at times but I couldn't stop reading for some reason since it manages to be interesting, I was kind of worried the protagonist would be a Mary Sue at first but it didn't turn out that way at all.
>>3201064
It's hard to say, I usually don't keep too careful a track of that kind of stuff. But I'd say at least 14+ hours.

Aren't otome's chinese? I'm probably wrong but I thought they were

There are lots of visual novels translated into Chinease.

That's not even the complete list.

One of the Ixrec-vote threads had someone posting screenshots from a FMA doujin VN. I believe it was in Chinese.
I don't see why VNs should be thought of as being Japanese-only.

I was going to make a very bad joke, but I won't.

The story revolves around this literal murder club, every once in a while they kidnap a person as a sacrifice and have them play a game where they're basically hunted down as prey by the members with a few very slim ways of being allowed to win the game. The protagonist ends up involved and investigating them.

At first it seems pretty simple but there seems to be a lot more going on than I managed to find out in just one playthrough, tons of unanswered questions.

>> No.3201234

About the no choices part, I've noticed a couple of VN's are like that in the first play through.

Sounds interesting.
How's the Japanese like?

Think it's worth nominating in Ixrec's thread as a translation candidate? Or do you think it's not quite "god-tier" or sufficiently difficult language wise?

>> No.3201249

>>3201243
Considering half the list isn't "god-tier", I think that was just an excuse, really.

>> No.3201269

>>3201249
Well, maybe he's planning on refining it later. If you hadn't noticed people were practically throwing out every Japanese eroge of any worth they know of.

Wouldn't hurt to nominate it I suppose. Could someone type up an attractive synopsis? I could post it on the forums if needed.

In before list is "refined" to ~3ish titles.

>> No.3201500

>>3201237
I had trouble with some parts but overall it wasn't too difficult.
>>3201243
No, it's pretty long, I don't know yet what the rest of it is like and I want Swan Song to win.
