I'd recommend Clannad, but if you think it's hard to find you may be mentally handicapped.

Clannad is very easy to find, but it isn't that good so you might as well skip over it. Check out recommendation threads in the archive or go to vndb.org or something.

I know 3 places where you can direct download clannad. you are just not searching good enough.

It's really not that hard to find torrents of it. But if you want particularly easy access to most of the VN's that have been translated to English, check out jp's IRC bot.

Anyway OP, Clannad is good. Download the full-voice version, that has bigger resolution and some other fancy stuff.
Shuffle is very average, but enjoyable.
Tsukihime is pretty good. Also everybody else has read it.

Yeah Kira Kira is great and very easy to get into.

for people new to VNs it's best to start with the older games. Crescendo and Kana Little Sister is what I recommend.

Play those, in any order, then get back.
