In short, the tl group help tl, promote and even help indie vtuber to get their money from bilibili but in return the vtuber needs to pander to them. There are cases where a vtuber stream more in youtube and got flamed and required to stream more in bili. Said tl group even fucking phoned the girl on midnight 3am to talk about it. One vtuber scheduled a stream and postponed it due to new years and now fans are demanding an apology. The tl group in bilibili has this illusion they represent the vtuber and is in control, they have this thought that the vtuber depends on them to get popular so she owes them a lot.

You're not listening. Big Brother does not give up control. Just because they say the gatekeeping is "almost over" does not mean that's what's actually happening. Their reasons for gatekeeping in the first place were shaky at best; more for white knight purposes than legitimate security. The people they were cyberstalking weren't antis, even if they posted her "private" information. Framing the narrative as if the information was locked in some super sekrit club rather than behind a paywall literally anybody could enter is also disingenuous. And they arguably slowed her level of reach to the very large, and still growing, Aloe base by doing so. Early on, when the fanbox was first publicly posted via her twitter profile, people who had subscribed and had access to the information she posted there spread it around. This was while people were still regularly talking about Aloe and seeking information about her. The DFS response to this was to cyberstalk those posters' accounts and encourage them to delete said posts, or report them/get them banned. On one level, this is kind of justified because the information is behind a paywall, but on another level you can't police information. You'll probably also Streisand effect it. To be clear, it wasn't just the information itself they wanted scrubbed, they wanted to remove any posts mentioning her fanbox at all. Despite her posting it publicly in her twitter profile. Plainly in view for all visitors to see despite her account still being protected at the time.

The point is, they were acting like it was a secret club, and their server wasn't exactly well known until she posted about it herself. The point is, they were limiting access, both to information and to followers. The barrier of entry for both was low; wind up at her twitter and pay 500 yen. Even antis did this. I myself tracked down her (numerous) twitter and twitcast accounts via the 2 we knew about, and got to her fanbox. Anybody could do this. They even lamented that they couldn't do anything to stop people from finding it this way. I don't think they had the right to dictate which fans get to follow and which don't. Most Aloefags would support her if they only knew, but they're probably also too stupid to google her account names to get to her twitter in the first place. Regardless, I disagree with their actions, and because they did them before, I do not believe them when they say they don't do them now, or that it's almost over, or whatever the narrative is.

I worded that wrong, meant to say "is she using YT to advertise her twitcasts too?" but she definitely had something on YT scheduled for 8:30 PM JST that popped up in my feed. Not that it matters much since I missed it regardless but was curious.
