Good morning /jp/, straight to the point.

What is it like to be a NEET? I just received a notification from my college that I failed one of my courses so I won't be able to graduate next year.

Feels like shit and my life was shit so far. I feel like taking a year off and "relax". What does /jp/ think about this?

wait what? i'm confused...
can't you take that course again and pass it? that shouldn't take a whole year...
taking the year of to "relax" is stupid, you'll regret it i GUARANTEE it.
my brother, stopped going to college, then he realized his life would suck without college, so he started going again.
one of my friends stopped going too, but then he lost his job and he's going back to college again also.
so here's how i see it, take that class again as soon as possible, no "relax" time, it's only one fucking class, DEAL WITH IT.
either that or never go to college again, your choice...

>> No.3158688

If you really need it, go for it. But don't let your NEETdom extend any further than the deadline you set for yourself. Make getting your shit prepared to finish that degree your first priority, then you can take it easy for the rest of your tenure as a NEET while avoiding the horrible hikki spiral.

Don't make the same mistake I did. It may be too late for me, but you can still save yourself, OP.

Real food is awesome. My old dorm didn't have a fridge (nor a stove), and I didn't have much money, so I ate one meal a day and survived on anything that could be eaten as is, thereby giving myself anorexia. Then I moved back home and could finally use my cooking abilities to feed myself, bringing my weight back to a healthy 9x lbs.

On that note, eating instant noodles raw is awesome.

I took a semester off, a single semester, and it threw me off.
It's a goalless, drifting life. With nothing to do all day, you start to go into a deeper and deeper depression wondering every single moment of your day awake where did you went wrong and why are you such a waste of human flesh and resources.

Don't take a time off. Get back to studying harder and get back on your feet. Try to graduate, make that your only purpose, and grasp that future with your own hands.

I didn't enjoy my time as a NEET, I don't know how the rest did it. Now I have my degree and looking for a job. It might not be the relaxed life of sleeping all day and having no worries other than what VN I was going to read that day, but at least it's a life.

I am 26 years old now, the last time that i took some classes to learn something was in 2003/2004. Since then i pretty much spent my time at home in front of my pc doing whatever i wanted with my free time.
Many people say that they regret their course of actions, or want to lead a normal life, but i can say proud: I lived my life how i wanted it to be, without restraint or pressure or stress. Many would say you wated your life, you are useless, but how many of you can say that they lived at least 10 years of their life the way they wanted it to be? Life is pretty much slaving away at a job nearly every day 3/4 of your life, people just can't live how they want it, at least i had some good time in my life before i need to finally find something now because i am running out of time and money.

Pretty shitty for me, but that's because I'm fucked up in the head with depression and all, which is why all I've done the last year since dropping out is waste day after day on 4chan and other websites. There's all kinds of books/games/anime/manga/programming I could be spending time on, but I have no motivation to do much of anything, and don't get pleasure from anything I used to enjoy. And since I didn't have enough problems already, I finally worked up the nerve to make appointments to get back into therapy, but the only mental health center in my city has fucktarded staff and it's taking me weeks just to get an appointment. At least my parents don't care about me leeching off them, else I'd be homeless in a gutter or dead.
