Its the standard eroge-anime conversion were they shove all routes but Shuffle does it worst because its not as funny as the game (and that is quite a achievement as the anime tries and fails at comedy) and with added DORAMA that is just awkward most of the time.

Well I guess Alice Soft does games instead of simply visual novels, sure there are paths and all but knowledge of gameplay is required to complete the game instead of a choice flowchart.

And that is kinda the problem, I like reading so I dont mind visual novels (unless they are borefests) but some people do not like reading so they take a game over a visual novel.

No idea how that would work outside Japan, I guess by their "game" nature they end up being too much of a Q&A hassle.

The art and colors in Shuffle makes it easy for me to replay it. This is my third time playing completely through and I almost never fully replay a game.

I lost my saves the first time so the second play through was for that...

Umineko and Shuffle! are in different genres. Umineko will naturally encourage discussion because of its mystery elements. Shuffle! is more about love and emotion rather than something logical that is more easily discussed.

Game was shitty, it had 100 scenes per route, each one completely unrelated to the other, and you could read each one of them in 2 minutes.
The anime made an awsome work making it interesting, and pretending like something happens. The game is just, pimp--->sex with one of them--->epilogue. Yet, the anime is still quite bad.

I guess everyone was expecting a plot but the game ended up narrating the plot to you. Which is a shame considering that the backstory is pretty good, I like how everyone's problem are somehow connected with each other. And the game can be discussed, you can talk about what you think it lacked, why you liked it, etc. discussing things like Umineko has another sence, its not just opion, but guess, and deduction work (not the best one i think, since you don't have all the clues to reveal the mistery yet)
