Hey /jp/eeps!

I was wondering what kinds of Japanese food you liked best.

I like chicken tonkatsu with soy sauce... with rice of course.

Pork tonkatsu.

Also, Japanese curry (although I prefer Indian and Chinese curry over that).

I, for one, disliked greatly most of the Japanese food I had the chance to eat.

I feel kind of sad for the weeaboos who force themselves to like it.

Kimchi.

I grew up eating ramen and Japanese curry so those are up there on the list.

Now you're just assuming, as well as taking your own opinion as fact. Double stupid.

Maki Sushi. I could live off of that, and it's not too difficult to make, but I'm often too lazy to spend the time to do so.

I enjoy fish quite a bit - including raw - so Sashimi is right up my alley. Rice, not so much, but I learned to like it with most Nigiri sushi. I also enjoy Chankonabe and Sukiyaki.

California rolls are fine by me only because they usually have roe spread on the outside, and I have a weakness for fish eggs.

I usually buy a tin of Caviar every week just to sate my hunger for roe.
Shit, now I am craving it.

Real in some Salmon, chop the shit out of it. Serve it up. I loooove Sashimi. Let's not forget the soy sauce!

Udon is amazing too.

So which is better: kimchi or sauerkraut?

Strangely enough, cooked salmon makes me want to throw up(unless it is executed properly, with lemon juice, spices, and such), but raw salmon tastes like I'm eating a GODDAMNED stick of butter with light fish flavoring. God, it just melts in your mouth.

Everyone likes noodles. But aside from that, I like the "fake" sushi (with stuff like spicy mayonnaise and tempura) more than traditional sushi and I haven't had the chance to try much more than that.
I wanna taste those large white spherical things with meat in them, but I have no idea what they're called. I don't know why, they just look like they'd be delicious.

I like those fried chicken things they do. Much superior to pig disgusting American fried chicken.

Let's see... I like teriyaki, sukiyaki, chicken katsu (haven't tried the tonkatsu yet), most kinds of sushi and sashimi, eggy rice (not sure if that's the real name, lol, but that's what my girlfriend calls it), and Japanese salads... But I'm not a fan of plain rice at all. Am I doomed?

If you live in america, do not eat Japanese curry in fake Japanese restaurants of other asian.
this american says they are fake.

Go Go Curry Brings Japan’s Authentic Comfort Food to NYC
http://www.wired.com/underwire/2008/04/go-go-curry-bri/
>NEW YORK — Japanese curry is food in its most perfect form.
>If you disagree, it is only because you have not eaten it. You might be intimately familiar with the Indian or Thai varieties, in all their festive colors and mouth-stabbing spiciness. You might have, in a fit of curiosity, actually skipped the chicken teriyaki and tried a plate of curry in a Japanese restaurant. Perhaps it was even topped with the traditional breaded pork.

>> No.3152090

sorry I should copypasta more.
>But unless you’ve eaten curry in one of Japan’s curry-only lunch joints, one of which is never more than five minutes from anywhere else in the country, you have never tasted of this most holy of foodstuffs.
This is not travel snobbery. It’s just that none of the Japanese curry chains have opened locations in the continental United States.
