So while we can't be sure of who will be included in KC's game, I am fairly sure of monsters we can exclude. Namely since a big part of the game seems to be having the monster follow you around then one can assume monsters that have limited mobility will be out as far as being party members.

Not that that excludes many. There's dryad, and matango (unless you can carry her or KC retcons her mobility further). Giant slug would be too slow to follow you (again, unless you carry her).
