-The first round of Friendly Fleets have been implemented for E-1, E-2, E-3, and E-4 main bosses.
-The Fall 2020 Event, Escort! Fleet Transport Operation, is underway. It is a medium-scale event of 4 maps, 3 in the Main Operation (Europe Part) and 1 Extra Operation. In the MO, the Italian destroyer Scirocco (E-1), british light cruiser Sheffield (E-2), and the mighty USS Washington (E-3) have been implemented. The EO takes place off Luzon/Ormoc Bay and the reward is Matsu-class destroyer Take.
-The new event equipment from the MO is the 533mm Triple Torp Mount (M53-39), the Arctic Gear & Deck Personnel, and the Do 17 Z-2.
-The October ranking rewards have been distributed. The new equipment is the 6inch Mk.XXII Triple Gun Mount.
-New and returning Christmas mode CGs have been implemented.
-As of the Feb 28 maintenance, due to the ongoing DDoS attacks, measures have been taken that requires players from certain countries to use a Japanese IP address to connect to the Login servers. After getting to the start screen it's possible to disconnect from the VPN and continue playing without it. If you still encounter connection issues try clearing your cache and changing your time zone to JST. These countermeasures are temporary as of right now. EN EO now bypasses the block. Another possible workaround is using https://github.com/Tibowl/KCCacheProxy
-The following ships will receive another remodel at some point in the future:

I wouldn't focus on clearing friend, honestly. Focus on grabbing up every fucking rare shipgirl you can. That's what I did when I started in a event. It put me miles ahead. If you can clear the event, great, but that should be the side mission.
I actually just finished off this event by grabbing up the last ship that could drop that I needed.

That's good. Node O on E-2 dropped a ton of shit for me. I would focus on Tash over Prinz, because Tash is a game changer. The sub boss on E4 drops a lot of rare DD's you'll need for quests, and gives decent exp as well. Getting the Pasta's would also be good.

It shouldn't be that bad. I doubt you have Maya-sama at Kai 2, if not start using her and she's a very nice AACI ship. Also farm out Zara if you can, iirc she lets you build the cheap italian floatplanes, and you can turn those into dirt cheap sea plane fighters. Dork Royal, Aquilla, Comrade Test, Kamoi, and Richie are all good pickups.

Either move Kasumi out of the flagship spot or give her flashlight to someone else. When your flashlight is on the flagship, it increases the chance that one of your TCI ships will attempt to cover the flagship and get wasted in the process

If you have any GFCS, replace Atlanta's FuMO with that so she can use her best AA. If you don't have any, Atlanta should be a better flashlight carrier than Kasumi since she's the least valuable damage source at night. Kasumi can carry another torp in that case.

Honestly, you're just hoping Jingei FF and your escort fleet snipes the boss with TCI crits. You want to disable at least 2 Na-class before their opening torps so you can clear out the boss escort fleet without losing too much of your own escort fleet.

Also, if you can set up at least 1-2 LBAS bases for AP, and bring Atlanta AACI, you can shoot down all enemy bombers more often than not and disable CV Hime shelling in the daytime, which will help.

Get used to seeing all 6 main fleet ships still alive after day battle, you'll be lucky to sink even one. Hopefully you can land some scratch on the boss, and chuuha some of the escorts to decrease flagship protection at night. Jingei FF subs and your bonus damage ships can do 400+ to the boss with a TCI crit (one guy got an 800 damage Fletcher crit) so any run can be the run.

If at all possible, keep your planes and LBAS ranked. Hopefully you have enough that you can rotate the de-ranked ones out and get 2-3 runs before having to re-rank. It's a huge pain in the ass, but if you can't kill any Na-class in the opening it's not going to go well.

Supposedly better FF is on the way, but you might also just end up with more shitty FF you need to somehow block, so pick your poison.

I was about to ask if this meant the debuff was done but Yona did 500+ damage to the boss and cleared the event for me. Blessed whale with humongous thighs and her band of freed slaves.

I was doing chipping with a STF trying to get Nagatouch working and was getting awful sorties, sub 200HP chips constantly

Switched it up to the 4CV comp and immediately get a pretty clean S rank on my next chipping run. Good shit, wish I didn't piss away 20k fuel on touch retardation.
