Could be worse like every time you right-click a script error message pops up. Then the game becomes buggy and you can't progress text. Opening backlog and going back to main menu still works and loading a save (when it isn't grayed out from another bug) fixes things. But don't try right-clicking on a choice screen because pic happens and game crashes. One time I messed around with it and the choice boxes became transparent and unresponsive, then I went to main menu and it glitched out even more before softlocking and crashing.

So I have a bit of a weird complaint I guess with Nanase's after story in Nukitashi 2. So Nanase's route ends with you giving Fumino away to be tortured and possibly raped, making Nanase's route a bad end, at least for Fumino. I originally assumed Nanase's after story would be about fixing this, but instead it's mostly just about cute moments with Nanase (which are pretty cute to be fair), and goofing around with a ridiculous set of new 'antagonists'. That is, until the last 30 lines, where the route ends with them rescuing Fumino anyways. But that means that while all of the characters are goofing off and having fun together Fumino's being tortured offscreen, which kind of puts a bad taste in my mouth. I think the route would've been way better if they rescued her FIRST, then spent a while goofing around.
I dunno, it's just a gripe I have, I can't express it well.

I've watched some of those popular vtubers and while I think the avatars are cute and they can be fun to watch, at the end they're just Japanese streamers with huge followings hiding behind a 2D avatar. And in general I avoid streamers with huge fanbases because it's all about money and fast chaotic chat. I do sometimes watch small vtubers with less than 100 viewers because it's more about the games and being fun. One of them was playing Baldi's Basics for like 8 hours. Was great background noise.

I don't see vtubers in eroge being a successful long-term thing. You can't really watch them doing it so it's more just a character trait "oh she's a vtuber, so she's popular." Show the avatar a couple times and a short stream montage/CG, maybe have some drama about being unsuccessful or whether she should quit because dating MC blabla. There's not much to it, just a trait or minor theme.
The whole appeal IRL is similar to idols where you become a fan and follow everything they do- With vtubers that's watching hours of live video content. Eroge can't handle that. With idols in eroge you can still have some singing or the idol industry as a theme, plus there's the entire idol slut/fucking producer/fan gangbangs/blackmail/NTR etc. dark side that's massively exploited, same with mahou shoujo nukige. What can vtubers do? She's playing the innocent vtuber, but secretly you're pounding her during her streams? Boring. Someone finds out her identity and stalks/blackmails her? Boring. It's all been done with idolshit already.

Right now this thing is booming but it'll become overused and likely drop off dead after a year or so. You can't even hire most vtubers to play vtubers in eroge because ero. And all-ages games are ehh... They could still make bank by hiring top vtubers for games so there's the risk that eroge phase out even more for all-ages crap just so companies can survive. But again, people would get sick of vtuber VNs and then they cycle in/out new vtubers all the time.

Characters come and go as would friends and acquaintances in real life, and there is a real sense that the central cast is in a state of flux as they struggle to carve out a place in the world with their music. By the end, both Kei and the reader find themselves somewhere very different from where they began, and with a breadth of experiences to show for it. At times, the plot may leap forward in time by several months or more, but Setoguchi never leans on “time skips” and the reader is not expected to fill in the gaps on their own. This is a story about people who have dedicated their life to music, and we see the whole of what that entails, every last failure and every last triumph.

Early in the game, Hanai Korekiyo, Kei’s mentor in the world of music and brother of the main heroine Mika, dies from suicide. This traumatic event casts a shadow over everything we see over the course of the game, informing Kei and Mika’s attitudes on life and music as they grow older. They struggle at length to come to terms with the lasting impact of Hanai’s death and music, finding an answer only after many years have passed, because time was what was necessary. Time to live their own lives and time to develop their own relationships with music as a method of expression and communication. Setoguchi is so assiduous in his depiction of Kei and Mika’s journey because he knows that it takes time for humans to process trauma and adapt; because he knows that he knows that a person is the sum of their experiences big and small, not the product of any single event. Musicus is a story about playing in a rock band, yes, but more than that, it is a story about why someone would play in a rock band, and it never stops asking that simple question―why?

I’ve primarily discussed what I found striking about Mika’s route, but my praise for Musicus does not end here. Every branch explores a different path Kei could have taken in life, and there is no part of the game which does not contribute to the central metaphor of music as life. While I expect people involved in creative fields to get more out of the game than others, I strongly believe that it has something to offer anyone who has ever felt “lost” in life. It shows us how we may find solace in a weak god; if there is any story meant to be told as an eroge, it is this one.
