The kakera? The different gameboards? It's the result of the Mariage Sorciere.

Okay, so here's where I start destroying that magic.

At the end of Episode 1, we learn that after the storm cleared and the bodies were found, nobody was able to understand how the massacre actually happened. Most people considered it an unsolvable case, where the tricks could not be explained and the culprit could not be identified.

Then a letter in a bottle came along, and had written on it an incredibly detailed description of the events that happened on the island. The world was exposed to the "witchcraft" that may have happened on the island, and gave it a suitable culprit: Beatrice, who was a witch and was above human logic. Furthermore, this letter was signed by Ushiromiya Maria, giving it further credibility.

Essentially, Maria's letter created the witch as we know her. This is where the "Witch of Origins" comes from, and is part of the Mariage Sorciere pact. Through Maria, belief in an magical entity called Beatrice rose.

Then in Episode 4, we learn that there were more than one of such letters, and they all had different detailed descriptions of the incident. They were also signed by Maria, and was confirmed to have the same signature. What was even more puzzling was that each letter implied that the writer was already dead at that point, a statement, if true, could not allow for so many letters to actually exist.

>> No.3103657

>>3103651
This fulfills the TIPS section of the Mariage Sorciere, which states the following:
-Beatrice, whose magical power has declined, was given an immense new magical power.

Beatrice was only a legend before the Rokkenjima massacre. However, as the belief towards magic began to grow in response to the letters, so did Beatrice's own existence. Now, she was someone that actually had a presence in reality, as such a possibility could not be denied.

- through the formation of this alliance, Beatrice gained the Endless Power in the true sense.

Beatrice, through Maria's multitude of letters, existed endlessly, killed endlessly, and revived endlessly. It truly was an endless scenario that occurred in Rokkenjima, and her dominion over the island was made absolute.

>> No.3103660 [DELETED]

>>3103651
So, that's the theory you started thinking last night?
Nice, I like it.

>> No.3103662

>>3103657
However, we also learn later on in Episode 4 that the Maria that wrote those letters had the exact same handwriting as the Beatrice that wrote on Maria's book. Furthermore, this handwriting was nothing at all similar to Maria's normal handwriting, making the issue even more complicated. There could only be one explanation: Beatrice was using Maria's name to write those letters.

Logically, it would make perfect sense, since nobody would believe the story if Beatrice used her own name. Thus, she used the name of Maria, who was only an innocent girl, to create those stories and perpetuate the existence of a Witch.

>> No.3103665

>>3103662

This fits nicely with the TIPS about Beatrice's magical compendiums and titles:

- The Endless Witch has its foundation in "Endless Creation".
- The Golden Witch has its foundation in "Magic Realization"
- The two of these were polished even further through Mariage Sorciere, leading to the sublimation of "Endless Realization"

Using this knowledge, we can follow a certain train of thought:

- Right now, the appearance of the different game boards is the result of Beatrice's Endless Realization.
- Each of those game boards can be described in those letters written by Beatrice.
- However, the converse can also be true: each of those game boards can be the result of Beatrice's letters! This fits in perfectly with Beatrice's abilities.

Therefore, there is a possibility that every single "kakera" is actually a different scenario written by Beatrice in the real world! That kind of logic seals the witch, and has an explanation based on reality!

Yeah it's a popular theory, you aren't the first one to think of this.
Would explain why Bernkastel's power won't work against Beatrice as well.
Her power works when there's at least 1 chance for her to win, even if that chance is very unlikely.
But something like this can't happen with a scenario that is "already written".

>> No.3103699

>>3103666
Yeah. I'm still don't understand the nature of the meta-world, but I'm fairly confident this is how all the different game boards themselves are "born".

This also fits with the Witches TIPS as well, since Beatrice the Witch cannot escape her territory (Rokkenjima) for this very reason. She does not exist outside of Rokkenjima.

>Beatrice the Witch cannot escape her territory (Rokkenjima) for this very reason. She does not exist outside of Rokkenjima.
Why is that, though?
If her existence is based on people's belief in her, why would she exist there if there's nobody left to believe?

>> No.3103735

>>3103712
The Rokkenjima Massacre is a very unique scenario where only a magical explanation exists for all of the mysteries. Furthermore, the entire legend of Beatrice was in fact isolated on Rokkenjima, and nowhere else (for reasons we know already). Her entire existence as a witch to the outside world is based upon those letters, and those letters only.

It's a phenomenon that everyone knows is isolated only to that specific island, so Beatrice can never exist anywhere else.

As I said, it's Beatrice. Beatrice exists, although not as a witch.

There exists a human being that calls herself Beatrice in the real world. This is evident by the signature that this person wrote on Maria's book.

Furthermore, Beatrice's signature in that book was written in katakana. Normally, this wouldn't be too much of a big deal if it wasn't for Episode 3. Just before Battler was about to sign away his freedom, he notices that Beatrice had signed her name in katakana, which was different from how she normally writes.

That's too much of a coincidence right there. I'll theorize that there exists a normal human being known as "Beatrice" that exists in the real world, and is similar to the "Beatrice the Golden" in the meta-world. However, this human "Beatrice" being a witch is nothing more than a lie. Witches do not exist.

I just figured out Umineko!

You see, the meta-world where Battler fights Beatrice in their game is the future. The witches are actually researchers who developed a device to look into various alternative dimensions as well as a way to go there.

Because the future is incredibly boring, said researchers decided to play a game with Battler, the grandson of the late head of this project.
Not with the Battler from their dimension, but with a younger Battler from a past dimension.

The goates, stakes and other furniture are a special force which can travel through the dimensions and are employed by whatever institute runs this project.
They carry out all the murders with their high-tech laser blades and shields.
So whenever Beatrice proclaims that there is only a certain number of people on the island those soldiers are already back at their own world and she is thus saying the truth, even if at times there are far more people on the island.

Since Meta-Battler is from a past dimension he doesn't know about the future and its superior technology and the researchers try to trick him into thinking that magic exists for whatever reason.
So he is trying to proof that the murders are carried out by humans, but with his lacking knowledge it is impossible for him.

Sometimes the researchers decide to go to those alternative dimensions themselves, just to fuck with Battler.

The whole fantasy vs. mystery is just a distraction, Umineko is in reality sciene-fiction.
