Reimu - C
Sanae - C++
Patchy - Haskell
Ran - Matlab
Yukari - COBOL
Aya - Ruby
Yuyuko - Java
Marisa - Python
Cirno - Brainfuck
Shinmyoumaru - Forth
Wriggle - Rust
Kokoro - Machine Code
Sumireko - Javascript

Very fitting. I hate Javascript.

It doesn't really fit her Danmaku style, but it is the only choice.

Marisa would probably be an ActionScript wizard honestly
Very good at creating and animating .SWF files

Reimu lives with four fairies, I'm sure she has plenty of knowledge about C.

>>31001840
C? I'd sure hope not.
>>31003081
Awful. For starters Cirno should be into Python or C, since she is a big baka and needs to languages that dumb things down to her level. Also where is Lisp? Who will conjure the spirits of the computer with the spells? Patchy would be my top pick, but Haskell suits her too.

I propose a new list.
Reimu - Haskell
Sanae - Ada
Patchy - Scheme
Ran - APL
Yukari - Fortress
Aya - C
Yuyuko - Prolog
Marisa - Zetalisp
Cirno - C
Shinmyoumaru - Smalltalk
Wriggle - Rust
Kokoro - FORTRAN
Sumireko - Common Lisp

You are underestimating Cirno's idiocy. She'd peak with something like Hopscotch. Utsuho would be a better fit for Python or C, since while she might be an idiot she's at least smart enough to be somewhat competent. Also:
Reisen - Ada
Chen - Scratch
Clownpiece - Trumpscript
Eirin - punch cards

I am not. Only a pure idiot would choice C to be their programming language of choice in this modern age.

C is simple but not easy for complex tasks when you can't fall back to handy things like classes/methods and have to deal with pointers.

Bakas should stick with visual languages like Scratch or Logo.

Joke all you want, but that toy language is already more useful seeing as it doesn't throw "segmentation fault, core dumped", because it's a more advanced programming language.

>C remains perfect for embedded systems.
Yes, but only because modern computing is stuck on the bad side of the 1970s. Had things gone our way, almost everything would have been abstracted out into the hardware. It's absurd that we've developed modern consumer CPUs with neural nets before we've added basic necessities like garbage collection, types, and round-off free arithmetic; which are all things we had in the 1980s before UNIX made everyone cut costs. It's as if a society decided that universal basic juicero was more important than universal clean drinking water.
