It's stupidly easy to do especially since you'd be using unity for the actual live rendering. I think most japs are simply too tech illiterate to understand 2D lighting systems and don't ask for it, and most L2D artists probably don't know how to make normal maps for the models that work. I'll be sure to experiment with this since the full version of the app is only $19 and seems to have all the basic features. If it can be integrated into a full 3D environment I'd shit myself but I really doubt that's possible without actually putting together your own PC side renderer with the L2d SDK which is actually shockingly complicated to use for live production in Unity.
