I can't count how many times I've seen an interesting thread only for it to be deleted by the time I hit expand. It's irritating as hell.

I hate it when I type up long posts only to get "Thread specified does not exist."

That would be fucking terrible. The threads most worthy of deletion usually get tons of replies.

Once a thread is deleted it's gone, nobody bothers to continue discussions over there.

I'm probably missing a lot of good threads that were deleted since I don't browse the ghost board unless /jp/ is down.

You can still discuss some threads there, and at least you can read what you missed.

If Jan Itori were to work like that, things would be different around here.

If it's a 100 reply relationshit thread or something similar (anon, did you do x today?), the janitor should still be able to delete it with impunity. There's no reason why there should be a caveat where if x thread has x amount of posts, it becomes untouchable. If you don't think a particular thread should have been deleted and that type of thread gets deleted often, bitch about it through email/IRC.
