What are you bros recommendations for future tone songs to practice in preparation for expert? I can consistantly get around 55-70% on average in 6-6.5 star songs, i know thats not good but ive had the game for 5 days. My favorite songs in the game dont really challenge me, theyre just easier because i already know the songs and dont offer challenging button combinations just samey xxxx oooo tritritri ooxx xxx xx x x xxx xx shit. I guess it would make more sense to ask what are some of the easier expert songs that are accessible but provide good practice. Difficulty in this game ramps up quickly between star levels

Niconico staff eventually put a stop to it but this was never heard of, only because Crypton handed them a huge sum of money to keep quiet about it.
In order to get sued by Internet Co. they allowed GUMI to be present on the Nintendo 3DS game. This served as killing off rumors of Miku playing unfair in the process.

The West was mostly untouched and this is why GUMI has enjoy the popularity she always deserved (over Youtube and whatnot). Sadly, different story in Japan, where as we know the majority of music producers reside.

As a new player as of 6 days ago i can tell you that alternating hands get easier very quickly with a little practice. There is no need to rush to get better, take your time. just play your favorite songs on the hardest difficulty you can complete. I say play your favorite songs because being familiar with a song makes it easier to get the timing right. But dont just play your favorite songs, also use random and just play every random song you get. You might fail a song, but remember it and play it later in your session, you might just beat it the next time. 2 songs i find have many long strings of fast notes are mmorpg addicts anthem, and romeo&cinderella. They would probably help you out. Stardust utopia is pretty good for practicing fast single notes. Just my opinion.

Thanks anon. I did manage Hibana and Teo before on hard but they were pretty difficult for me, so they seem like good practice targets. My problem isn't the alternating itself it's just figuring out the speed and rhythm to hit fast combos so that I can keep going without my right arm clamping up.

With most of the songs, there are logical ways to play them that reduce the load on your hands. For instance, if the map goes AB/AX/AY, it makes the most sense to keep one hand on A and use the other for the B/X/Y. It's like choreography. You might need to make your own strategy for harder maps.
Personally, I find that quickly switching between buttons on 1 hand is difficult and straining. If a map goes AAAAXXXXBBBB, I'll do the As/Bs on one hand, and the Xs on the other. Unless it's too fast and I have to alternate anyways. Alien Alien on Hard is a map where I do this.

What macros do you bros use in project diva? I only use 4 button macros because of the score potential with hold notes. I dont use other macros because i cant cover every combo so why not just get good at them all. Multi notes are pretty easy as long as you play them with both hands, not just one. Yes in the customization screen. Map l2+r2 as 4 button combos. The reason you do this is because you can hold a shoulder button right after you hold a hold note with your thumb, allowing you to release your thumb. You can hold multiple notes with this method but quickly after you hit your second hold note, you need to hit the other shoulder button and release the first.
