Just started reading Tsukihimay after wading through FSN despite mostly disliking it. Aiming for Ciel's route next because her pseudo-nun outfit looks cool in the fanart and because she acted friendly. Just reached the scenes after killing Nero in the park. Observations so far:

- Holy shit this is low tech I mean damn, when was this made, 1989?
- Oddly, Tsukihime seems (so far) to be translated a lot better than FSN was, despite being an earlier work and by the same translation team
- While I hated Rin with all my body parts, especially my penor, Akiha seems to be surprisingly tolerable so far. Does she turn the bitch-o-meter up later or what?
- Arcueid was described to me as an improved version of Saber, but other than the blonde gaijin thing, I don't see similarity. Saber was a dutiful warrior type, Arcueid seems to be an indestructible cloudcuckoolander. I don't hate her so far, but the way her invincibility is hyped up is quickly eating my interest in her. I never liked invincible characters.

Under normal circumstances, Akiha would never have done something like that. She was seemingly aware of Kohaku's plans but kept her around anyways because she liked and felt sorry for her.

Getting pissed that Shiki was choosing the traitor over her after she had done as much for him as she had and wanting to hurt Kohaku and force Shiki to come to her side is a pretty normal reaction considering the circumstances.

What separates moralfags from selfish and treacherous people isn't the lack of desire to be selfish, but the fact that they put doing the right thing over their id.

Oh, one more observation:

- Shiki seems to be a lot more acceptable protagonist than Shirou was. He actually talks back to people who mock him, something I can't remember Shirou ever doing, and so far he hasn't stopped even once to muse out facepalmers like "sharing a bed... that means sleeping in the same bed, right?" His apparent IQ is at least twenty points higher.

I've been wondering about this for a while, might as well ask it here.
Are there any theories on what happened to Shiki after the Akiha (True?) end.
I'm not sure if it's the true end, but it's the one where Akiha stays normal and finds his knife
