At first, I hated her. She was way fucking sadistic and creeped me out, especially since she's a loli. In the beginning of the Fate route, when she commands Berserker to rip Saber's head off and violate her, I was like "...wat".

After "getting to know" her better and you realize that she has no concept of good or evil, she's really an awesome character. She's like a primal human being, not bound by social constructions. By observing her, I realized how ugly and how beautiful people can be when they're freely expressing their emotions.

If they said it had something to do with her being a homunculus, then yeah it'd be in the realm of explainable.
