Sengoku Rance
Pros:
- Awesome music. Specially the battle against the demon army.
- Awesome character design. Gotta love Sengoku Rance figs.

Cons:
- Dull battle system. It gets repetitive after a while.
- Dungeons are too boring.
- Bland characters and even more bland routes. They got looks but no personality whatsoever.
- Rance is a terrible main character.
- Rance makes you hate the girls.
- The h-scene BGM is out of place.
- Character routes are disappointing.

Overall rating: 6,5/10

There's no real time limit, but if you exhaust all their troops, then you'll just be fighting monsters, which are a lot more irritating to trudge through. You need to take one of the far far west territories and then stop them from sinking the country to win (doesn't start until you've won a battle in that territory).

What's the deal with the Shimazu brothers? They have three times as many troops as I do. The only one I defended against during the blitz was the strategist and I barely won. They said I have to kill them but there's no way I can do that with my forces, should I just try insta-kill attacks instead?

Assassinations on commanders never really worked for me even with my Ninja's HP higher so I probably wouldn't waste my time with that if I were you. As far as I'm concerned, all Shimazu brothers + Agrieda will attack your territories all in one turn once, and then after that, they'll just try to take your territory once each turn, which should be easy enough to defend. Scouting helps too if you're going on offense at the same time.

Generally, you need a good defender to absorb the brother's attacks, and decimate the rest.
Since you won't face them on succession, it's easier to do.
If you have units like Kenshin, Uruza and Natori, it's hard to actually lose.

Hold out long enough and you'll get an event where they try to take Rance out personally.

When they do, you'll get into a fisicuffs battle with them, win and try to kill them, but the oldest one will stay behind to give his brothers a chance to get away.
