I don't think it's even necessary to cheat in Celenaria, unless you want 100% completion without bothering with the busywork minigame. The side missions don't have any real plot to speak of and just exist to waste your time both gameplay and story wise, and hauling the expensive memory items to the end of the game only unlocks concept art, so I wager you could easily just beeline for the end of the current zone that's pre-marked. IIRC only the fandisc's village visits actually unlock in-plot event CGs, but it only has one zone and no trading.

Never read that but I liked the Sharin no Kuni scenes. Short, but erotic.

Usually H-writing falls into 2 categories: 1. heroine moans too much and describes every little thing which is simply unnatural and to me a turnoff; 2. scenes that have the couple actually interact with each other and make the reader "feel" the sex instead of monologuing it. Also tends to have more raw voice acting. I prefer it when seiyuu just naturally moan instead of repeating naughty words like おちんちん and おまんこ and イく.
Oh and you could look at H-scenes that are solo action with just the heroine. Or maybe mutual masturbation. Those scenes are often well done because they don't follow the same cookie cutter formula. Anyway, read more eroge, newfag. And give up on writing kusoge.

I've been reading ユーフォリア for 3 weeks now (after a 6 month hiatus). I have to take a break after every H scene. Trying to get through 2 or 3 scenes per day, my best was 6 scenes. There's like 5 lines of new dialogue between scenes and I just don't feel like dragging myself through that many boring H scenes after another. Not that the "story" parts are any more interesting. It's all so slow, boring and event-less. The bland backgrounds (white room #2344, cave #159, dilapidated school #685) and repetitive structure (round 1+2, bonus 1, round 3+4, bonus 2, VIP vanilla, round 5, another 1-4 H scenes) don't help at all. Once I'm done with Kanae's route (FUCK HIMARI) and this overrated クソゲー I'm gonna get drunk and go back to comfy moege. I regret reading this trash. Yes, that's roughly correct. Different scenes interleaved with the common route, and then after you get back to your world you get the meat of the route. But not a long plot-relevant route like the original, just focused on the heroine.

Take for example the brother-sister in Qualidea Code, one of the infamous Chiba sibling shippings. The brother appears to be weak and overshadowed by his younger sister, but when push comes to shove, he is the one saving her. 3. Early transition to sexual relationship. It takes perhaps 20 minutes to get to the first H-scene with the heroine of your choice. By the way, it also fails as a harem game, with there never being a full harem scene.

Maeda is a hack. His early success wasn't even solely due to his own talent. Moon, One and Kanon were written by Hisaya Naoki. The routes Maeda wrote are actually often the messy and bad ones. Air had multiple writers, though Maeda wrote Misuzu's. Clannad was where he peaked. Little Busters is also well-received but has a lot of complaints about individual routes. After that all he did were Angel Beats, a rushed anime turned into multiple mediums, the even hotter mess Charlotte, and coming up with the concepts for Rewrite and Summer Pockets.

Maeda is also a composer for key games, but he's never been the only one. Orito Shinji, Togoshi Magome, Mizutsuki Ryou, PMMK and many others created a ton of great music.

Not to mention that all of his story-lines and used themes are pretty much copy-pastes of each other. I won't say he's completely without any merits, that the games are bad or question their intended effect as nakige, but I do not believe that Maeda is the successful component of key. He's just a single cog in the wheel and absolutely replaceable. What's clear is that he's not the right person to script anime. He should stick to composing music, writing story concepts and coming up with new heroines.

Maeda's anime are too short for what he wants to do so they end up too fast-paced, then he runs out of episodes and rushes it into a trainwreck. His VNs are the opposite: he takes fucking forever to build the world and characters, which leads to fleshed out characters you care about, which is why you actually care when shit goes down. Yet his VNs are just too long and bloated, like do you really need ALL these side routes in Clannad and Little Busters? Do you need all the shitty mini games? Do you need hundreds of choices that are either pointless or are so obscure you wouldn't know without a guide that it's the correct choice? And the fact that the themes he uses are ridiculously copy-pasted and route writing is often inconsistent or outright bad doesn't help.
