Thanks for these awesome news VDZ. I'm really pleased about several things in the log. Especially that they don't have any plans for Umineko at the moment. The interest came from a few things.

One, MangaGamer's announcement during AX that they would be releasing Shuffle by the end of summer. This helped regenerate interest in Shuffle and raised questions about what would happen to Gamepatch.

Two, heklin, the translator that went AWOL, randomly shows up online again, feeding people a story about how he was sent to prison for lolicon manga. This caused a storm of doubt as for the legitimacy of Gamepatch. People thought heklin's timing was suspicious, seeing as how MG just announced Shuffle a few days prior. They accused him of possibly trying to sell out to MG.

The whole issue now is in regards to the supposed letter they received from Navel that granted them permission to translate Shuffle. They haven't given proof of it yet, which is causing people to accuse them of lying yet again.

The prevailing theory as of now is that Gamepatch is full of trolls and liars who are not to be trusted. The patch could very well be as real as the ToHeart2 patch was.

I can't believe people still give any attention to them at all. I remember being there... 1? close to 2? years ago and things were no different than they are now.

Seriously as it personally stands if they really had a project going and it takes you almost 2 years? you (GP) made a pretty large mistake to announce it in such an infant state. Most translators that actually finish there projects, even leaving VNs and talking games in general, don't even bother announcing till they've got 50% or more done. Those that do not have constantly shown they either A) Do not finish or B) Never had anything at all.

Maybe GP is telling the truth, but at this point... I can't see how anyone at GP expects us to take them at face without solid concrete proof. and to be honest they were "ehhhhhh" when I quit being a mod on the old site, I doubt things have really gotten any better in over a year's time.
