Hey /jp/!

Listen to my theory about Hanyuu.

Hanyuu is a voyager witch, born from the person Hanyuu was saying she was when she was killed by her daughter. She just doesn't know she's a witch and so thinks she is a god.

Hanyuu has power because Hinamizawa believes in Oyashiro, but since there are others carrying the magic-resisting toxin, she cannot appear fully.

At the end of Minagoroshi-hen, in the sea of Kakera all of Rika's friends meet Hanyuu, giving her enough believe to make herself a tangible form in the next kakera, the same way Beatrice appeared in a tangible form in episode 2 of Umineko.

As people suffer the symptoms of Hinamizawa syndrome, they believe they have been cursed which strengthens their belief in Oyashiro, weakening the magic-resisting toxin.

THIS is why they can hear her footsteps, and occasionally hear her say "gomenesai" and the like.

Your theory is wrong. Gods exist and even ΛΔ acknowledges them as beings with powers beyond those of a witch.

Also Hanyuu appears with a physical body in all the worlds when she meets Keiichi's father along with Rika to convince him to move to Hinamizawa.

Why do you think she's a witch? There's zero evidence for Hanyuu being a witch. To me it seems like you're trying to hammer a square peg in a round hole in order to force a connection between Unimeko and Higurashi.

>> No.2998944

Even if she was one, what would it matter? It's not relevant to anything.

Bern's diary suggests that Hanyuu is above witches.

There's continuity through Bernkastel. Trying to force the Umineko concept of a witch on Hanyuu seems pointless, especially since the idea that she's a god is perfectly adequate.
