A witch did it.

I never thought about it until now, but just accepting everything in Umineko is pretty damn boring, isn't it?

Anti-Mystery is being lazy. Anti-Fantasy is the way to go.

well, to be fair, no matter what you think up you can't really inform battler of them or verify that they're true in any way.
It's a(n easily broken) paradox - the book is boring if you don't think about it, yet if you do you get frustrated.

Anti-Fantasy is for people who love to think they're smart by playing detective in a witch's game.

Magic didn't, shut up and enjoy the story.

Why do you have to be like that, anon? Why do you always have to be anti-something can't you be pro-mystery or pro-fantasy?

>> No.2948728

There are two ways this story can end

1.) Meta-Battler learns which humans did it
2.) The Ushiromiyas (and the others) become strong enough to kill witches and their furniture.

I wonder which would be a more exciting final arc.

Is the same as a Magician's trick

Anti-Mistery will enjoy the trick, and it doesn't care how it is done.

Anti-Fantasy will destroy the trick, revealing how it is done, and ruining the magic factor.

Misteryfags ruins everything

Where'd you get ep 4? I found ep 1 but I can't seem to find 4.

Umineko's strong point isn't only about the mystery.

The characters are incredibly likable, the logic Battler uses is entertaining and ridiculous. His charisma also helps him a long way. I'm anti-mystery with the line of logic that says "everything is true until proven other wise" but that doesn't mean I don't fuck yeah battler when he does awesome shit like stare down dragon/ghost/kinzo with pure logic.

I don't know who started the hole Anti-mystery/Anti-fantasy thing (reminds of Bure vs Rumba) but at the end of the day Umineko is enjoyable with which view point you take.

The thing about being anti-fantasy that I don't like is the fact that you'e basically throwing away all the interesting characters. Ronove, Stakes, Siesta, Virgilia and Goat-kun? Never happened. Jessica, george, Rudolph, Kyrie, Krauss and battler being awesome? Never happened. One of the 18 or all of the 18 being evil bastards? Of course.

It's fun and better to accpet these things happened until proven other wise in the answer arcs. Sure having some brick shitting hints uncovered (Maria and Siesta connection made me shit bricks) but ultimately the whol notion of drawing elaborate theories that amount to bullshit until Ryu says other wise.

Number 2) would be awesome. EVAtrice+ ANGEtrice (Witch of resurrection)+ Witch of Origins Maria + Battler with his anti-magic god shield+ George counter attack barrier+ Envious Kyrie+ Kannon and Shannon+ Jessica determination brass knuckles+ Future stakes+ Siesta corps and Sakutarou VS Beatrice + Virgilia + Gaap + Goat-kun+ Bronove+ Past stakes+ Gold smith battle royal. Fucking epic.

i don't know why anti mystery/fantasy fags are so rampant when the truth is to be anti-both and to be contradicting. magic exists, but wasn't used in Rokkenjima. It's amazing how many people missed the point of episode 4, and how it peeled away some of the mysteries about magic, and told you that you're wrong if you go too far in one or the other direction.

Yes that's why in every thread someone expresses wonder and awe about a fantastical scene some body has to come and crash the feeling with "Never happened".

RYu should just troll every pro-mystery person out there and thrown in a God just like he did with hanyuu in higurashi.

magic=god

mystery=science

when people are confronted with the unexplainable, most will say god did it, or it was magic. while the few will seak to explain it in a logically manner.

Most people turn to god to explain what can't be explained logically.

Unfortunately, now people have started using it as an excuse to ignore logic. God was invented so man could spend his time doing something other than pondering his own existence.

Umineko is fiction you know. Just because one takes a logical approach in the real world and seeks to explain things rationally, doesn't meant we can't enjoy fantasy and magic in fiction.

You know, taking the anti-mystery side may seem like the easy way out, but it really isn't. It takes a lot of knowledge and creativity to try and create a situation which is possible by human means, and then cover up everything about it with "magic". Beatrice has to use all of her resources to take away Battler's hope and make him give up on finding the truth. She's the one who has an uphill battle ahead of her. On the other hand, all Battler has to do is hang in there and keep on shooting off his blue shotgun. Eventually, he'll come to the truth that is irrefutable by the red, and that'll be the end of Beatrice.
