Just wait for a few. After a while, there will be an event where the brothers attempt to blitz Rance and take him out in one attack. You'll have to fight all four of them at once, but they're actually pretty easy as long as you have some good front lines units (I used Rance, Kenshin, and Agireda). Take out the youngest brother first too. He's a tactician and will make the battle annoying.

After that, the eldest brother will die and the rest will kind of scatter.

I hate Footsoldiers, the ones on your side always fail to guard if it's not over 70%, yet enemy Footsoldiers get you every time even with 10% guard.

i'm on rans route and cleared it already. but i didnt get the end where she loves me and she goes running back to that asshole souon.

my question is where did i go wrong. i did every event that i could with ran and she never got above normal for me. the wiki doesnt specify but if i had to guess, id say it was because i was too slow and the nigger proposed to her at the beginning but i just want confirmation before i start over again.

Turns out you can't raise her past normal after a certain event, and you can't raise her past trust after a certain event later.

...problem is I have no clue what those two events are.

IIRC. you have to conquer Battleship Nagato before the Kentarou battle starts, while Gigai is triggered by the number of areas you have conquered after the demon army appears.
So, depending on your conquest choices before and after the demon army appears, the order of events change.
