In Tatarigoroshi it's pretty obvious she was lying about her trunk being full. And she gets angry at Keiichi when he asks why he shouldn't tell people he met her that night.

Tsumihoroboshi made her even more suspicious when she gave Rena a notebook full of bullshit. Then later it was revealed that she made several bullshit notebooks.

Tsumihoroboshi epliogue tells you that Takano predicted the gas disaster.

In every arc, she either goes missing or her body is found burnt beyond being recognized.

There were lots of things that should have made you suspect her.

I watched the anime, I found her to suspicious from the beginning, she spoke in such a way that it seemed she was mocking everyone around her, and then in Tatarigoroshi-hen she just tells blatant lies Keiichi, has Tomitake's bike, refuses to let him look in the trunk and agrees to not tell anyone about meeting Keiichi as long as she gets the same treatment.
