Who's the Black witch? Maria says it takes over her mom and I thought it was just a metaphor for "My mom is a crazy bitch" but it seems it's more concrete than that. One of the Siestas was killed by the black witch and I'm sure it's not referring to Evatrice since she never killed a siesta.

Any ideas or thoughts? Has this been explained in some secondary material?

Eva is called a Black Witch because she uses anger to fuel her magic. Beato uses... I *want* to say a mixture of sadness and eagerness to play, but I sympathize with her more than people usually do.
