I'm 28, left home when I was like 17. I've had jobs, friends, girlfriends. The only thing that is worth it are the jobs, sometimes they're entertaining but in the end all jobs can become drudgery, but they feed you and keep you clothed. The friends and girlfriends are nice at times, but far more often they are just going to cause you trouble and in the end they are not worth it at all. I'm living off of saved up money for the moment, the only words I've said in the past few months are, "Thank you, have a nice day." to the cashier as I buy my groceries. It's wonderful. I'll need to start searching for a job again here in about seven months or so but till then I'm taking it easy.

That's how I feel. Human interaction these days is for people who do not share the same beliefs as me. I might run into someone who thinks along the same lines I do, but it would be a one in a million chance. I don't agree with the social people on many things, and they certainly wouldn't accept me or my lifestyle if they knew anything about me. I got over being lonely a long time ago. I think it was just a phase that kids, social animals, and young adults go through. I don't have the time of day to waste on other people and their selfish delusions. I'm perfectly happy living my life for me, and my family that I love dearly.

I'm afraid there is no proper "way" for me. I'm no longer in the school age group. I work a fulltime job that doesn't serve customers, so I have no chance to meet anyone interesting on any random day. My co-workers are 90% male, the 10% female workers are much too old, married, or not compatible partners in any sense of the word. There is literally no place interesting to hang out in this town, and if there happened to be any places I would be too scared to go near them. Online dating? My friend who is much more qualified than me to have any kind of relationship with a sensible female who enjoys doing people stuff is having one hell of a time finding even an online-started-relationship.

That's why I would have to go out of my way to find someone, and frankly, that's too far out of the way... Even by normal standards.

I feel similarly in that I feel like there's nothing for me in this place that will help me change my life for the better.
I haven't really properly tried, and I'm sure I'm missing out on somethings but... For me, the solution is to work on getting out of here as soon as possible. I suppose this is much more difficult with a full time job.
