Demon King in the game's context in English is "Devil", king of all demons. You know, like in the damn fucking name.

It was a game. A common one in japan, apparently.

You put up 10 fingers, and you take turns putting down (bending) either one or two fingers. Whoever puts down the 10th finger wins.

They weren't breaking their fingers, Maou was the only one who broke someone's finger during the game. And it only happened once.

The basic jist of it was that the game theory guy realized that the game can be simply won by going first and being the person to put down the seventh finger. Maou, however, thought outside the box. He won by imposing a time limit and breaking a finger. Theory guy used logic. Maou used his brutal tactics.

Demon King is sounds absolutely retarted and unfitting this game. The best choise is to tl Maou as Devil as the game itself suggests.

Wasn't there also a limitation that you couldn't put down two fingers from the same hand at once? I remember thinking when I saw that scene that Maou could have simply won by bending the finger on the hand with only one finger left; There would be two fingers remaining and the guy would be unable to bend both of them. Or am I simply remembering the scene wrong?

I have, but it needed less Mizuha and more Yuki.
And I hardly see the link between Mizuha (+Yuki), Kanon and Tsubaki.

The game is more than playable with the AGTH/Atlas combo.
Or maybe I'm too smart, but that's unlikely. Will still be worth a replay when/if the translation is released.

Mizuha's chapter is the best.

In Japanese, the word for used can mean both bold/bend and break. So if you were you playing the Japanese version you could have actually predicted what he was going to do. I did anyway
