2895571 No.2895571 [Reply] [Original]

Hey /jp/, just finished reading the good end of the Remilia route in SDM: Limited Adventure Style after some tru bro anon linked it from sentrygun and finding the rest on touhouproject (i've been reading it since it was linked yesterday and only just finished, after a 8 hour sleep of course). It was the best thing i've read in a long while. In the past i've general avoid toehoe fanfiction because its usually 1. shit 2. loldiapers xddddinb4

I know there are other routes to the story (which I suspect, even though I haven't looked, of not being finished and probably never will be), but are there any other toehoe stories that are worth reading?

No and no, that was the only good one.
The "Forest LA" started off good but then it stopped partway, and the others are all shit.

You suspect right, at least for now. HY tried to start SDM again but noticed that it really didn't work.

>are there any other toehoe stories that are worth reading?
IPF by the same guy comes to mind. It's currently running, I believe.

The writer of that pretty much agreed that the character choice anon came up with is the most boring thing to ever grace the boards. If the writer can't even see anything good about the protagonist he has to work with then the story is doomed before it even starts.

I have yet to see anyone write a Touhou fanfic that's simply a slice-of-lice fun time story. No angst, no "OMG WAIFU!" dating hook, no intergalactic wars, no grim and dark world where Rumia could kill Mr.T and Chuck Norris with her pinky, and especially no "LOL SO RANDUM!"

Just a nice, cute story about Touhous being silly girls with silly powers in a silly land.

There's a few light-hearted slice-of-life ones, the best is probably Harker's "Contemplations Under the Moon and Stars", although lately he can't update to save his life. The two recent SDM stories where the protagonist is a fairy maid are also really good, including the best portrayal of Flandre I've ever seen. Also "Distilled Encounters from Festive Times", and I think "Fragmentation of Memories" and "I, Youkai" would mostly count.
