I will never understand why do people make new threads complaining about a board being shitty when they can just bitch about it in one of the already shitty threads.

If by "a better place" you mean "force people to hide 75% of the threads on /jp/'s main page," then sure.

The current main page is the worst main page I've seen on /jp/ and I've been here since >>1 (this thread helped reaching that goal!). Even "WHERE IS GM?!?!?!" floods were better.

Since it's summer there's obviously going to be a slight dip in quality, so that much should have been obvious. /jp/ however is different from most boards on 4chan. Boards like /a/, /b/ and /v/ tend to get worse each year. /jp/ however has remained normal. Not only that but our population hasn't multiplied either. If you think /jp/ has gotten worse then you don't know what getting worse means e.g /a/ & /v/.

I am starting to notice one thing that has changed about /jp/. /jp/ is starting to have popular trends. Last month it was KS and this month it's Umineko. This brings back bad nostalgia of /a/'s Gurren Lagann and Lucky Star spam days. /jp/ used to be a board where no two topics dominated the board.

Edit: I just clicked on /jp/ while making this post. Yeah, the op wasn't kidding, it's pretty bad. Well, my only advice is to go and do something productive with your life and ignore /jp/ for a while. Meta threads of this degree are counter-intuitive.

What are you talking about? This is nothing new, except the KS threads have been more noticeable from the beginning for some reason, and lately Umineko threads seem to be getting stupider. I don't come to /jp/ for the VNs and eroge discussion, so it was obvious to me when I saw three or four threads on the frontpage about the same game for about two or three weeks. Then it'd be a different game. This whole popular game trends has been going on for a long time, it didn't just start with KS or Umineko.

Maybe all you ghostbros need to stop criticising /jp/ on the "secret" board and start making quality threads on the real one.
