Admittedly I've never played Town of Salem, I hear it's like a much more complicated version of mafia. But some streamers have done normal mafia rooms with simple rooms and that was fun enough. With Among Us streams there's so much potential gameplay strategy and complexity that could happen that people don't actually do, so much mafia style deception that tends to not happen. There's oxygen and doing tasks and all that. Imo it seems much more complicated than just playing mafia.

The thing I hate about Among Us is it doesn't bring out anyone's personalities or character. The fun part of mafia is people's personality coming out in the way they lie, defend, create narratives, lead the conversation, hide, all that. And it lets people be funny. Seeing these Among Us streams especially without any voice chatting with other players just feels like the opposite of an interesting social experience.

English has almost no direct latin influence. All of its 'latiny' sounding words are french, and largely refer to, once again academic topics or trade. English's roots are just like 4 different flavours of germanic and native celtic with some french vocab splashed in. Its clusterfucky grammar and structure comes partially from transitioning between writing system in the medieval period without a strong feudal hegemony to enforce it, and a bunch of half-baked and ultimately failed academic attempts to standardize the language in the enlightenment era that resulted in spinning off a half dozen distinct rulesets that just ended up merged together.
