Playing the new Pin-point game, for whatever reason it's not saving.

It gives the following error:

As far as I know Pin-point doesn't even use any kind of copy protection.
The game is pirated, it's the only one up on sukebei. It runs perfectly both from the executable in the SETUP folder already in the .rar and installs normally if I try to do so too. So it doesn't seem like a crack issue.

I just noticed that, usually the save folder stays inside the game directory for this company (for kirikiri2 stuff in general actually). Nonetheless, the folder is in the right place yet it can't save. I tired unchecking the read only box for the folder and it still gives me no results (and usually save folders are fine as read only).
I noticed it also saves alterations in the game config menu just fine. It remembers my changes in BGM volume and text speed. It just won't let me save the game.

Running with administrator privileges doesn't help.

Not typically a fan of vanilla but this + her design and well suited voice+ stockings + pregnancy really pushed my buttons.

The game in question definitely is worth waiting for, so much that I don't need a demo to prove it (based on my previous experience with hibiki works' games). It's when something looks somewhat relevant to my interests - but not totally - then I download a demo to have a better look at it and decide if I should download the full thing (when it comes out), put in into the backlog or forget completely.
There's also a case of reading the common route in the trial if the full game releases in a couple of days, but now it's too early for that because I don't want to wait 3 weeks to continue from where the trial ends.
