I used to like (death and power) metal a lot when I was younger. I can't say that I listen to it anymore though. Even my favorite bands (like Gamma Ray) have turned to utter tripe in recent years.

Let me put it this way: even certain Japanese porn game OSTs have better mixing, mastering, and guitar playing than most metal albums these days.

Typical metalfag mentality: Anything that's not metal is shit. Any popular fringe-genres of metal (i.e. Metalcore, Nu-Metal) is shit, Hip-hop is shit (that's labelling both mainstream and underground), Indie is shit, Jazz and Blues is nigger music, Classical is for old people (except for Wagner, metalfags have a hardon for Wagner, mostly because he was a white supremacist). etc etc.

Certain subgenres sure (forms of rap come to mind), but no over-arching genres like metal. Not even hip-hop. Vast majority of it is bad, I'm not sure anyone could say otherwise, I however won't say it's all terrible as there are a few people in the genre who are good at what they do. Call me butthurt or whatever, but blanket statements just piss me off.
