I'm not >>2796545, but I'd say there are less. Would be furfags are more likely to become gaia-level anime/avatar fags today, and the furfags from the late 90's to early 00's have mostly grown out of it by now, if not try not to think about it.

I don't think we'll ever see the same number of furries as there used to be what with cartoons nowadays. Back in the early 90's every other show had an anthropomorphic cast. Now you're lucky if you see them in a movie.
