So, question for amerifags in here, what do you think of this show? It's on in about a hour or so on ABC, and it's pretty much a emulated Japanese game show with Americans making A++ reaction images. I think it's worth checking out. Thoughts?

It's shit.

American tv = fail.
no exceptions.

>> No.2785890

The American Film industry is good, in many ways better than the Japanese film industry.

With TV, however, there is no fucking comparison. Occasionally a decent show comes along. Notice on /tv/ all they ever talk about is House and Lost. Out of a decade, two shows.

Those really are the only shows on american tv worth watching though, after CSI became Crime Spinoff Industry and Jerry Orbach died.

Dunno, I always liked Law & Order. The original, not CI or SVU, which ruin the atmosphere and tone of the show.

But related to the OP, the show is terrible. Honestly. TV these days always tries to pander to the retarded half of the country.

I do not watch American TV because I am not a faggot.

its a reality show with the occasional japanese game.

>> No.2785964

This is another one of them cultural differences, eh? Japanese reality television tends to be innovative, batshit insane and full of evil genius, while here in the west were stuck with bullshit franchise programmes that all seem to be watered down versions of each other.

Im not even going get on the whole drama tip, because japanese television is horrible garbage for that. There seems to be two genres/formats in japanese television, if we count out their news and the hilarious shit the news channels pull off.

I laughed my ass off when one of the gaijin living there told one of the contestants to fuck off when he asked him if he spoke English.

Even gaijin hate other gaijin.

/jp/ should enter as a team, and play up the American otaku aspect for humor.

But then it turns out people from 4chon really do act like crazy weeaboos.

Probably. That's what power level suppression is all about, hiding those latent weeaboo sensations that, ultimately, we can't escape.

But can use for entertainment aaand showbiz! I'm sure the Japanese would LOVE to laugh at our failure of loving their shit, while feeling smug for being loved.
