So I was thinking:

Waking up in Gensokyo would mean waking up in 3D Gensokyo wouldn't it? Would you still want a 3D Gensokyo?

How does one enter the 2D world; how does one depict the 2D world in 3D?

First person camera just seems wrong for 2D environments, the same way cel-shaded mocap just seems wrong for animation. 2D is not supposed to act 3D, it just isn't.
