Look at how active hololive threads are, and compare them to the rest of the entire board's activity. Their userbase is fucking massive, and if they were let out of their few generals they'd take over the entire board in a matter of minutes.

Because this is /jp/. People not wanting to completely change for the sake of the current trend has nothing to do with old men thinking it's still 2012, resisting change and having a sense of self-preservation are part of the entire board's culture. If you can't understand the importance of that, it's likely that you've never truly liked a place on the internet or were part of any community.
The only correct way to deal with this explosion of popularity of a subject while preventing them from taking over a board is keeping them contained until a new board is made. The containment is doing well enough, the question is fucking when that new board will be made. Refer to moot's first post in here, no single topic should take over the entire board and things should strive to be contained.

Over 90% of the threads that aren't general threads are Touhou threads. It's literally the only franchise that doesn't "contain" itself. My final remark in this metathread is that you should have learned to behave yourself if you didn't want to be in this situation. You wouldn't be forced to use a cramped general that keeps changing how 4chan itself works if your entire community wasn't so big and unruly, things that /jp/ has never been about. You even got a second general thanks to HoloEN's launch, and what I keep seeing is that your kind loves forcing fanbase wars with the other Hololive thread, which is another negative point on your resume. All you've done is ignored the central thrust of my argument - most of what isn't Touhou is generals - and then ignored the general threads entirely to make your math work out. There are 43 general threads plus two recurring threads, and 160 threads total in the catalog snapshot I'm looking at, making Touhou 72% of the board. Almost three in four threads are Touhou. This is moot's "dominating the board" no matter how you slice it.
