Who is the MC: A Touhou character or generic male/female protagonist?

If the former: Mokou, Sakuya, Meiling, Ran, Youmu, Sanae, Komachi, Nitori, or Suika; anyone of them, or if multiples were possible, would make me happy as I can see them interacting with multiple characters on a regular basis besides the main heroines and Yukari.

If the later, start at Rinnosuke's, then possibilities to go to human village (branches there for IN crew), SDM (hear from Rinnosuke about the library there and maybe there's a book to get you back), go out on your own (bad ends and/or ways to run into Komachi and Youmu), or stay at the shop (help Rinnosuke turn Korindou into a wealthy shop by explaining how things work to him beyond what his eyes tell him, or run into Reimu, Marisa and Yukari and maybe convince one of them to let you tag along when they each come to visit the shop).
