The Saint Meets the Tiger is the title of a crime thriller motion picture produced by RKO Pictures and released in 1943. The Ferrovia Circumetnea (roughly translated as "Railway around the Etna") is a 950 mm (3 ft 1 in) gauge narrow-gauge regional railway line in Sicily. It was constructed from 1889 to 1895.

As the name suggests, the line (110 km in length) follows a route which almost encircles the Etna volcano. From its terminal in Catania the line starts off in a westward direction and loops around the Etna in a clockwise manner (as seen on a map), eventually reaching its other terminal at the seaside town of Riposto, approximately 28 km to the North/North-East of Catania.

The original terminal was at the Central Railway Station of Catania, directly on the sea front. In recent years however, the section from there to Catania Borgo (4 km in length) was upgraded to standard gauge and moved underground for most of its length for use as a new metro (Metropolitana di Catania). Aside from that, from what I remember, JunJun got a shit load of hatemail when she first joined. If anything, Japan is pretty racist when it comes for foreign idols, well anonymously at least. Besides, it wasn't a good start at all for JunJun LinLin, with Yossy's grad than Miki's scandel 2 days later along with declining popularity. It was inevitable that they wouldn't get much attention.

One good thing Tsunku DID do for the international market is Rhythm Heaven, I don't know the sales outside Japan but I've read nothing but good reviews from it. Japan sales were nice though.

A little late here, but no, you aren't imagining anything. Kikkawa does indeed have an amazing voice and she also boasts a superior command of vocalization compared to her partners.
It's such a crying shame that she hasn't had a better chance at coming into her own than performing in a subunit whose activity is basically dictated by the anime industry exigencies, though.

The answer is no. All I can hear is Jaws' pitiful attempts at hitting even a single note, not to mention holding one to begin with. She basically sounds just as bad as the first day she had been in MM, and good thing that her voice gets methodically drowned out by everyone else's when outside of the rare instances she gets a solo role.

I have to be frank, I don't usually get all riled up when Tsunku makes asinine decisions. I can understand him somehow. Sometimes it's just a matter of choosing the lesser evil, but here it was too wide a chasm talent-wise to even make picking the wrong one practicable.
I wonder if those rumors about Aika's family having stakes in Tsunku's enterprise have a grain of truth and if so how much they consipired to bring about her nomination.

According to news report, there’s a change in plan on the House Nation Tour Osaka leg originally scheduled for this coming Saturday (5/30). It has been announced that for safety reason pertaining to the on going swine flu outbreak, Goto Maki’s appearance has been cancelled. The pub will be open as usual for business but no House Nation event will be staged.

Regarding this announcement, Maki has also release an official comment over at her site.

I wouldn't put it past her, but you should bear in mind that Avex is a far cry from UFA in that it's a professional label mostly dealing with full-fledged singers with some semblance of track record, not - with all due respect to Kikka - would-be idols.
I was thinking more about trying and shifting her sights on AKB48 like, as said, Kashiwagi Yuki did or something like that. Even if she doesn't manage to break onto the scene, everything is better than treading water at Hello!Pro Eggs.
