Whoever connected, connect again, that was my fault, I stopped winamp and it messed up my game.

1) Update your PoFV to the latest version, 1.50a

If you have troubles updating see below

2) Download and put Adonis in your PoFV folder:
http://coolier.sytes.net:8080/th_up2/src/th2_6586.zip

3) Run Adonis. Should be straightforward from there. You pick whether you want to host or connect to someone, and you pick the ip and port. When someone connects to the host the host picks lag compensation level, lower is for better pings.

I'm the same anon from the last couple nights, got my firewall and router configured so that people could successfully connect, but after choosing the sync and player settings, adonis would just close and nothing happens (no PoFV crash, just never even tries to launch) and the other person would say I DC'ed. And this is on XP, thus the earlier comment about people having problems on XP too, not just Vista.

Every time the thread would just die shortly after and I never got any advice

anyone else have problems with a lot of desync? I can play other netplay games like Melty Blood without any problems.

I only get desyncs when my internet is working properly. The thing is, I'm at a university and while there are no blocked ports and for the most part no rules at this one, when it's under heavy use it CUTS OUT FOR NO REASON for 5 seconds or so, which really sucks for gaming.

But yeah, other than that, I've had a desync maybe like, once.

Whoever tried to connect, uh sorry. Steam apparently released an update for TF2 that started automatically and I didn't notice. Try connecting again and maybe there won't be as shitty a ping.

You definitely seemed to get better and better as the matches went on; I kind of had an unfair advantage at the start playing Mystia every round, I'd been playing lots of Story Hard Mode as Mystia lately (still can't quite beat Siki on a 1cc) and am completely used to playing as her. Lots of the other characters I hadn't played since I first started and was unlocking everything. And lol @ Merlin's shitty charge time and shitty field, you raped me that round. And you probably would have owned me if you kept playing Marisa and Reimu, I suck against them (screen covered with lasers = pain, Reimu's lvl 2 attack is overpowered hax at high levels)

I nearly owned myself as Aya, getting all the fast bullets from her spellcards bounced back at me. That's one of the things I like about Mystia, all her bullets are fairly slow and start out stationary, so when the opponent destroys them you just get a swarm of slow bullets drifting down at you instead of a hail of death.
