I agree. Her style/designs is perfect for being a blank slate and is perfect for Hatsune Miku considering shes the idol equivalent of a blank sheet of drawing paper. Unfortunately, that just isn't to my personal tastes.
With that said, I like a lot of ixima's stuff. She did a great job at taking some of the older vocaloid designs and making them feel modern and new. It's just when she has to water down the designs (like v4x or pj sekai) the style feels especially boring.
I understand why, and I respect the unseasoned tofu approach they're taking to Miku's design, just not my thing kek
